The location of the hotel near the park allows you to see animals roaming freely both on the territory of the hotel and outside this territory, without going far from the bungalow. It is so unusual that I recommend everyone to experience such pleasure from visiting this place.

Usually when you book a place you get a place to sleep. Foxy Crocodile is much more than that. They give you the best holiday and the best experience you can get to go to the Kruger Park. The room is big with a nice and comfortable bed. There's hot shower in the bathroom, a private pool for each room, a nicely equipped kitchen and you can opt for some extras like braai (traditional african barbecue) or other tradicional meal for dinner and safaris to go during the day. We had all extras and loved them. Our safari guide (Tamsyn) did not rest until we saw all the Big 5 in one day. Gail was lovely at all times and provided lunch bags for our breakfast when we had early safaris. She even helped me a lot with the shuttles to go back and forth to the games and to Johannesburg, as we didn't go there by car (yes, it's possible!). I would have to write a book to be thankful enough to Gail, Mark and Tamsyn because we had a great experience provided by Foxy Crocodile.

What a beautiful place in Marloth Park. Spacious chalet with a lounge, kitchen, bathtub, airconditioned and with a plunge pool. The outside fire place is lit every evening and includes a gas stove and outside seating area. Many places in this area does not accommodate for self catering so this place is exceptional.
You can either take a walk or a drive along the boundary of Kruger (within Marlock Park)were numerous animals may be seen.i highly recommend the Safari drive with Tamsyn which is arranged with the establishment. Within 4 hrs we had seen the Big 5! Gail and Mark (owners) are such a vibrant couple and will go out there way to make you feel at home. I highly recommend booking with them. There rates are fantastic and you get more than what you pay for. I am not an animal lover and this is my first time to the Marloth Park, all I can say is that I will be back, hopefully soon. Note the establishment is fully Covid compliant , even the Safari drive was catered for just my wife and I. Note you will see animals in the area, Impala, Zebra, possibly Kudu. I have been told there are leopards that have been seen wondering in the area. Don't waste time and Book, book , book!!!

It's difficult to know whether I should spend this limited space discussing how wonderful our hosts were or how amazing the location of the property was! The property itself is in Marloth Park, its own Nature Reserve, so it's loaded with animals! The first night we were there we had a giant Kudu come right into the driveway of our cottage. The following week we were visited by monkeys, zebra, mongoose, impala, and my favorite the warthog! I even was able to pet a baby zebra. Not only that but sitting on our patio we could see right into Kruger and watch the elephant walk along the river day after day. It's like nothing I have ever experienced! Being so close to the river in Kruger, at night we would hear all sorts of animal sounds, like hippo, lion, and elephant. Gail and Mark were wonderful hosts. They were unbelievably helpful when we needed them and left us alone the rest of the time. (The ideal Airbnb hosts for us!) They gave us a great deal on a Safari and we're extremely helpful in helping us sort out the ever-changing Covid requirements before our flight home. Gail even went so far as to contact 2 personal friends, one that was a flight attendant and one that did COVID testing. They also surprised us with a homecooked meal on our last night there. We have stayed in rental properties throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa, and Foxy Crocodile Bush Retreat far has the best location and the best hosts...hands down!

Wow wow wow !! What an amazing experience . My Husband and I went for a 5 night stay 2 days after our wedding for our honeymoon . Where do we begin , the accommodation is exceptionally clean , traditional and out of this world set just off the river with a great view with such incredible animals in sight . Mark and Gail are the most amazing hosts from collecting us from the airport to daily safri trips and organising us a sight seeing experience! We truly felt so welcome and part of their family . Both of their knowledge and passion for the African bush gave our experience such a special touch. One of the days we were taken out by Ingrid who works for Gail and mark as a guide and she was awsome again such passion and knowledge of the animals and the bush . The staff at the resort are beyond helpful and kind nothing was to much trouble, the food each day was the best we both have ever eaten, both of us have eaten in some of the best restaurants in England and the food we were presented with daily was out of this world! Traditional, fresh and so tasty . Having booked through a great mutual friend of ours made our trip so unique from the personalised gift when we arrived and the decoration on our dinner plates . We have had the best stay and no where will ever be able to beat this experience, we saw such a range of animals and with marks knowledge and experience of being in the bush we had the best sightings .
Overall this is a 10/10+++ and would recommend anyone who wishes to experience the real kruger park experience to go here!

I went there for only 1 night and it was amazing, the hospitality was the best I’ve seen. The food was absolutely delicious. The room was incredibly clean, and the room itself was very well done the bed was comfortable the outside area was very pleasant with a nice pool. The staff are the best. The Safari during the morning was one of the best I’ve ever done, Mark was a great guide, the Safari Jeep was the best I’ve ever been in, comfortable spacious and very clean, even with chargers for phones usb and normal plugs. Mark was incredibly friendly and very very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife and you can clearly see he loves his job, he was very informative and very welcoming and friendly. I have come to Kruger several times stayed in hotels and lodges inside and outside Kruger (Marloth Park) and they don’t even come close to the facilities and hospitality of Foxy Crocodile.
This was the best lodge/hotel I’ve stayed at in Kruger/(Marloth Park)
My stay there was amazing with incredible staff, incredible facilities such as the rooms outside area/pool, and the best safari jeep I’ve ever been in.
Staying there for one night was a mistake as it was the best time I’ve ever had. I definitely plan on coming back and staying for several weeks.
Thank you for everything it was the best time I’ve had

This is the fourth time we have stayed at Foxy Crocodile Bush Retreat in Marloth Park and we will return again. A beautiful location where the animals roam in the immediate vicinity.
It consists of 5 detached apartments, 3 of which have a view of the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park.
The hospitality provides a feeling of coming home. Mark, Gail and the staff will do everything they can to please their guests.
The various apartments where we stayed are equipped with every luxury; air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, bath, indoor and outdoor shower, splash pool and braai area.
If desired, you can opt for breakfast, which can be served in your own apartment or can be included as a travelpackage for during the safari.
Lunch and dinner can also be served in your own apartment. Sometimes the meat is prepared at our own braai place.
The great thing about the location is that it is a 15-minute drive to Crocodile Bridge Gate, to enter the Kruger Park.
You can visit Kruger Park with your own car or with Mark in a safaricar, which has the advantage that you do not have to drive yourself, you sit higher for a better view and Mark knows how to find the places as an experienced ranger.
In summary, a top location to stay, relax, enjoy the great (night) sounds and views of the animals and do safaris from there.

We had the most amazing and exciting time at this place. Really everything from the accommodation, staff, food to the location....everything is just perfect (you have to try the T-bone steak - it's the best we've ever eaten). But the best of it all is Mark and Gail. They're just lovely to talk to so warmhearted and helpful. When you stay at Foxy Crocodile you must go into Kruger National Park with Mark as a guide/ranger. He has the best knowledge of where to find the animals and knows everything about each animal and plant. We definitely will come back!

The moment we arrived at Foxy Crocodile - we were greeted with this amazing big smile, from owner Riëtte. That was it for both us - a big welcoming smile and we automatically felt at home. Riëtte’s husband Basil was always around if we needed any advice or help and was very welcoming and chilled out. Which is what we really wanted - chilled and happy hosts. Glen was our Kruger National Park guide, from Foxy Crocodile - now this guy is something else. Very very knowledgeable and took us to parts of the park, where there were no other guides. And yes - we managed to spot all of the Big Five in one day. You couldn’t make it up - so a big 10/10 for Riëtte,Basil and Glen for that amazing experience. Couldn’t ask for anything more. The staff:- Elizabeth, Patricia, Nompie, Lucky and Pendulo were all brilliant. Always around if and when you needed anything and the food they prepared was out of this world. The staff would always stop for a little chat, which was nice and they all seemed so happy. The location is right on the KNP - so don’t be surprised when the odd Giraffe, Impala, Kudu or Warthogs casually walk by when you’re having your breakfast. Amazing experience - which we highly recommend. For the location, the host, the KNP guide and of course the staff. We will return 😊😊

Outstanding.
In a nutshell, Foxy Crocodile, the rooms, the decor, the services, the locale, the food, and above all, the people!, are outstanding. Yes, there are more luxurious private places to stay near the Kruger, but you won't find a better one. The owners are meticulous in their attention to detail. They're also very knowledgeable about the area, and their guides are superior.
We were greeted at the entry by a gnu (wildebeest). As we were there to see wildlife, this was exciting, and set the tone for our stay. Animals everywhere! Lying in bed taking photos through the window! Enchanting!
We had a totally magical stay there, a lifetime of wonderful memories! But I'm guessing we'll be making more memories, as we will certainly be back.
