Detailed Reviews
Now, I’m clearly biased because I came here and I haven’t experienced the other accommodation in Marloth park but I only have good words to speak about, the accommodation, THE STAFF! And the customer service that is provided by royal Kruger lodge. Special notes to Emily, who arranged last minute extra nights stay, last minute day trips to panorama, and made anything we wanted to do so easy, also special mention to Robert Who is the main safari guide and his knowledge is remarkable, as well as his care of nature and the Kruger national park, and last but definitely not least to Mama who as her name suggest is the camp mother, she will make sure you are well fed, and always has a smile on her face, mama was sick for 3 days of our 5 days there and not once did she let it show, she is a blessing to the lodge and your stay, every night is a surprise and the boma dinners will not disappoint. Wlid animals also walk freely through the lodge, we were lucky enough to see warthogs daily (old and young) mongoose, giraffe and zebra

This place is wonderful and provides services of impeccable quality. We had an incredible stay both on an animal and human level.
This lodge on a human scale (10 rooms) is managed in a family manner, Marie will be your main contact in organizing your stay, she is particularly responsive and professional, her father Jean Jacques will help you discover the local side by answering your questions during an aperitif at sunset. Let's not forget Mathieu, Marie's brother, a young professional photographer who will accompany you on Safari, he takes magnificent photos which you can then acquire for a very reasonable sum.
The team working at the lodge is extremely kind, the chef offers us new flavors at each meal, the portions are particularly generous and tasty. The lodge and the rooms are impeccably clean and the decoration is tasteful.
Let's not forget the Spa services which are of real quality. The massages are top notch!
The drivers and guides (Robert, Excellent and Lucky) are incredible, they know Marloth Park and KrĂĽger Park precisely, they will know how to help you discover the astonishing life of the savannah. Good humor is always there, we laughed a lot during the safaris or while walking in Marloth.
As for the animals, they are there! You live at their house and with them in Marloth and you will learn how to find them in Kruger.
In summary, you can go there with your eyes closed. They're not number 1 in Marloth Park for nothing.

A clean haven of peace where the team gave us a wonderful stay: accompanied walk in Marloth Park on the first day (with good explanations about the animals and their tracks) before repeating several times, with this great experience, at go for walks alone and meet the "inhabitants" of Marloth Park: zebras who "mow" the grass between the swimming pool and the lodge rooms, warthogs, kudu, wildebeest, mongooses, birds, impalas, monkeys, giraffes... Our 3 morning safaris and one at nightfall in Kruger (Big Five animals and many others in splendid nature): wow!!! , excursion to the Blyde River Canyon (still "wow"), aperitif with a view of Crocodile River and the Kruger Park on the other side with lots of animals visible at nightfall: Everything was perfect, but what bothered us allowed us to spend an extraordinary stay (all the beauty of the world is even more beautiful when we experience beautiful sharing): the art of the team to make us feel welcomed and welcome in the lodge: real enthusiasts of sharing: limited number of guests (only 8 rooms) welcomed in an attentive and warm manner, tasty meals taken together at a large table around a "campfire" in the evening (the Boma), moments of relaxation around the swimming pool (while maintaining the possibility of remaining peaceful as a couple), safaris, joint excursions but in small numbers: lots of laughs and great encounters with people who we would have a lot of pleasure seeing again "elsewhere" once the holidays are over. A big thank you to the whole team for our vacation "better than in our dreams" (PS: good bedding: important for sleeping well and dreaming at night too :-)

Place is very nice, but lacks much needed maintenance. For the price you pay, not worth it.
This house has no fans on the veranda, in the lounge, dinning area and kitchen. In Marloth this is a must due to the intense heat. Remotes for fans everywhere, but no fans. Kitchen back door is locked and they cannot find the key, no fan so very hot in the kitchen. Stove does not work, this is a gas stove so if you are not a smoker and don't have a lighter you cannot light the gas stove to cook. Pool lights don't work, pool filter very weak and fountain does not work. Zebra bathroom toilet door is a sliding door, but you need to be superman to open and close it. Advertised as having mosquito nets around the beds, DStv and WiFi, but this is not available. We had to ask for WiFi and got this, but the DStv is none existent. Lacking in the kitchen is serving dishes (there are none) and drinking glasses. Plugs - majority of them don't work well. Much need fan on the veranda. Sewerage pipe blockage, they had to fix it twice in a week.

we stayed in the villa before Christmas and this was one of the places where we expected to have an amazing experience. Although the Marloth Park is a great place, Royal Kruger Lodge did not deliver on the customer service and management. Sadly, the staff lacks hospitality training (spending time on their mobile rather than serving and assisting guests during breakfast). The food on the first evening was stunning Ostrich on the BBQ in the Boma but lunch was disappointing pizza. There is a lack of management who never seems to be there. The Spa - what Spa? seems to be inexistent. The villa was quite far from the Lodge (definitely a drive, not a walk away) and the interior could do with a bit of attention (2 bedside lamps broken, door impossible to open to the balcony, kitchen had far too much 'stuff', lightbulbs missing etc). Definitely, not the 4 star promised. Despite this, we had a pleasant stay, enjoyed the pool, the 4 bedrooms are spacious. It lacked a special touch and is no match for the excellent hospitality we have experienced in all other places we stayed.

We have just returned from our 10 day stay at the Royal Kruger lodge. We are already nostalgic for the wonderful times spent at this lodge. We particularly appreciated the serenity and calm of the place, the atmosphere created by the team, its professionalism. Having a limited number of rooms is undeniably a plus. We have established great relationships with certain couples. Another positive point: the environment of the lodge. Its location allows you to go for beautiful walks in complete safety and to come across many animals. Likewise, it is located 20 minutes from Kruger Park which is obviously an asset when you get up at 4 a.m. for safaris. We were lucky to have good guides, and the presence of the very talented Matthieu during our 3 safaris.
The food was also excellent and the meals were very friendly around large tables, promoting relationships between us. Note, the drinks at a very affordable price! In short, what happiness! A word of advice: compare prices and don’t hesitate to book your trip directly through the hotel (which we didn’t do).

Our four night stay was exactly what we wanted - well organised safaris, great location for Kruger, relaxing, great food, all inclusive at a reasonable price. The owners and staff made us feel part of the family for our entire stay. We saw the big five on our first safari. Highly recommend Royal Kruger Lodge and Spa.

This lodge is fantastic!!! You have many animal and birds that come and visit you at camp. The bedrooms are fabulous and the beds are next level comfortable, turndown service completed and house keeping just spot on, there are only a small number of bedroom so everyone becomes family! The staff go above and beyond check in and check out made simple and everything explained. All staff where fabulous but just a couple that stood out was Julia she checked everyday making sure we had no issues any extras she would arrange for us, Robert the best guide you could ask for his Eagle eye was unbelievable and he has so much knowledge and enjoys educating the guests and happy to answer any question you ask. And lastly Rick again has so much knowledge and points out the small things as well as the larger things on his walks he is so friendly and time really does fly when you have fun. All in all you won't be disappointed and will have a great time!!!!

Everything was perfect: the site where you can meet animals that come near
the lodges, our romantic room with its mosquito net and you will find every day a bottle of water, a chocolate and a mosquito bomb, the staff and owners are extremely kind and all ready to satisfy you, the meals were succulent and in the evening a great conviviality around a wood fire. Thank you all.

+1
An awesome place to stay, a magical outside shower, and even closer to our needs because of the lack of clients due to covid, lucky us. The only negative point was for us the food, could be better, was too much looking as food already made and warmed up in microwave, except for the breakfast that was so tasty and prepared according to our will. If you are french speaker it’s even better because the owners can guide through your stay. A magical stay but the food menu can be improved in my opinion.

I’m sure they would accommodate you. However there is a set course of dinner every night so there isn’t a menu to choose from. The breakfast and lunch meals have an option of a few things laid out but if you’re fussy you might not have the choice you’re used to at a restaurant. All the food is fabulous though and the chefs are incredibly friendly so I have no doubt they would bend over backwards for you!
Dear Alan, we will provide vegetarian meals every day. We look forward to welcome you soon. If you have any questions you can contact us through email.
Thank you.

Sorry Chris for the time in responding but no tv but then that's the beauty of it you get away from everything. There's so much to do there with tours and interaction with guests and staff and the pool. Hope the renos have been completed by now if you are thinking of going.
