Your home away from home … Lowden Lodge (est. 1994) offers luxury accommodation in a tranquil country setting. As a family owned and run Guest House (Bed & Breakfast and Self-Catering) we pride ourselves on our attention to detail, hospitality and personality. And strive to provide the best service to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The main lodge comprises 5 en-suite rooms equipped with cotton linen; air-conditioning; mosquito nets and spray (body & room); satellite TV; a complimentary refreshment station with mineral waters, tea, coffee and snacks; a stocked minibar (charge on items used); a writing desk (work station) and more. Guests can make use of the communal lounge, TV lounge, dining area, outdoor patio and licensed bar (guests only) in the main lodge. Additionally our 3 self-catering (2 x 2-room and 1 x 3-room) cottages each offer a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with satellite TV and air-conditioning. Camping at our dedicated campsite will be available soon. We are located on the outskirts of Luanshya, centrally located in Zambia’s Copperbelt – a short drive from the mining towns of Ndola, Kitwe, Chingola and Mufulira, and the Mpongwe farming community. With the new Copperbelt International Airport (scheduled to open mid-2020) only 20 minutes (20 km) away, Lowden Lodge is conveniently located for business and leisure visitors to Zambia’s Copperbelt.
What a wonderful gem in copper belt of Zambia! We stayed for five nights in a two bedroom cottage that had a small kitchenette, a dining area, and a living room with a nice seating area. We had access to the satellite dish for television viewing. Our small children ran about without worry, playing with the owner's cute pooch, exploring the garden, and giant fish tank. The beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, the water pressure was great, and the breakfast provided was made to order. We enjoyed many conversations with both the owner and their staff. Genuine kindness and hospitality seeped from every pore of this place. We will return to the area to visit family again, and we will return to Lowden Lodge, our new home away from home. We will miss the entire crew between visits! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Until we meet again =)…

Had a magical time on holiday staying at Lowden Lodge. 5 star rooms with upmarket amenities. Beautiful setting. Gardens are immaculate with spectacular bird life. The owners were extremely attentive and pleasant and could not do enough to make us comfortable. Food was amazing. The chef catered for our vegetarian diet superbly making very creative dishes. We arrived as guests and left feeling like family. Highly recommend this lovely place.

Our lovely cottage had 2 bedrooms both with en suite shower rooms, a kitchen, sitting room, dining area and a door to a covered sitting outside space. We overlooked the swimming pool. I understand there is also a gym, but did not use it. The staff were truly amazing. We, my daughter and I, had breakfast, cooked to order, in the main house, but our 3 course dinner was brought to our cottage and served to us there. Excellent dinners, a first class cook. Janet, the owner, had also arranged for us to have a driver to take us around as I was not confident about driving. I have no hesitation in recommending Lowden Lodge as a comfortable, quiet, safe and friendly place to stay on the Copperbelt in Zambia.

We just loved this place. Janet and her staff could not do more for us. It was magical going back to our childhood town however we had very low expectations of the accommodation so were totally surprised and delighted. The food is superb, and the gardens so peaceful and relaxing. Janet and Lowden lodge made it an incredibly special trip for all of us.

Dear Janet Thank you for a most comfortable stay. A slice of Zambian Paradise in the grounds and gardens. Breakfast good. Rooms and facilities immaculate. Staff are warm, friendly and very capable. All wifi, satellite connections working perfectly. Overall a great feeling of homliness and relaxation. The verandah lacks for nothing.
