Prana was part of a road trip for us that started in the Karoo, went through the Eastern Cape, then back to the Karoo and Johannesburg. We absolutely loved it there! The good design, luxury bali-esque pool area, comfy rooms and beds and truly delicious fine food fare! Highly recommended!
Highly recommend a visit. Very peaceful location, well managed, good food, stunning beach. Ideal for those looking for some peace and quiet in great setting. Spa also highly recommended and golfers can visit East London, one of best courses in SA.
I had no idea this little gem existed, but am so glad that I have. A little boutique hotel that is located in a little forest on a mountain with a walkway that leads you straight onto a pristine, unspoilt beach that stretches for miles and miles in either direction. The chalets are hidden all around the expansive property & luxuriously appointed. Our rooms were extremely spacious had a beautiful private outdoor patio and garden with a plunge pool. The restaurant was superb - food always presented magnificently and the menus were interesting and varied. The hotel is family run and the attention to detail is mind boggling. This is the ultimate getaway for couples who want to be spoilt like we were for a few days. I haven’t had a better experience in all my travels in Southern Africa. Cant think of anything that could’ve improved the experience. …
We stayed at Prana on our way down from Durban to Cape Town (road tripping along the Wild Coast), and it was an incredible stay - we only wish it was longer! The location is unrivaled, truly a little piece of paradise. The owner,Gail, came to welcome us at our table when we arrived and she was so warm and lovely which set the tone for our stay. The food is delicious, the suites are massive and well thought-out with everything you think you'll need. The spa is a must-do! We did a couples massage which was excellent, both our therapists were top-class and we even got to make use of the sauna afterwards which was a real treat. All in all it was a memorable, peaceful retreat at the end of a busy stay in Durban - we will be back (as well as recommend to all family and friends travelling this way)! …
