Detailed Reviews
Prana Lodge was the first stay over on our holiday and what an outstanding place to spend some time. The lodge has centralised reception and dining facilities and 8 secluded, self-contained Suites, each having its own name and we stayed in Ruby Suite. Unequivocally, the suite was supremely, luxuriously and tastefully appointed, having an external, walled patio, sun loungers and plunge pool; seeing a small monkey with it’s baby was a lovely bonus. Breakfast was both comprehensive and well cooked whilst Dinners were simply exquisite - we would recommend in-Suite dining on at least one evening, a genuinely superb experience. Gail and her staff socially attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Overall this was a 5+ Star experience which we cannot recommend highly enough.

This trip was to celebrate our first year of marriage and we could't have chosen a better place like Prana Lodge to celebrate. From the moment you arrive at the gate, the security personnel welcomes you warmly and your get given a refreshing towel and drink as a welcome to your stay.
We stayed in turquoise, my favourite colour, it was exceptional. Has a full bath, private pool, lounge and private garden. The lodge is nestled in a tranquil place in Cintsa, overlooking the ocean. The rooms are in sparkly clean and the bed is so comfy. Every single one of their staff members knew about us, when we our breakfast time was, dinner arrangement and our spa treatments.
The lunch and dinner menu change every night, so you never eat the same thing. Hats off to the chef and the cooking team - the food was to die for. The staff was incredible, you can see that management put a lot of effort in training and in shows in the exceptional customer experience. This was by far the best stay, we ever had and will certainly be coming back.

I had no idea this little gem existed, but am so glad that I have. A little boutique hotel that is located in a little forest on a mountain with a walkway that leads you straight onto a pristine, unspoilt beach that stretches for miles and miles in either direction. The chalets are hidden all around the expansive property & luxuriously appointed. Our rooms were extremely spacious had a beautiful private outdoor patio and garden with a plunge pool. The restaurant was superb - food always presented magnificently and the menus were interesting and varied. The hotel is family run and the attention to detail is mind boggling. This is the ultimate getaway for couples who want to be spoilt like we were for a few days. I haven’t had a better experience in all my travels in Southern Africa. Cant think of anything that could’ve improved the experience.

We stayed at a lodge nearby and asked where to have dinner they recommended Prana Lodge. Honestly I was disappointed.
Firstly, we called to make a reservation and they asked for our email, we received an email with an invoice stating that we need to make a payment in advance to book a table which was kinda weird.
We decided to go drive there to check it out before pre paying and when we arrived the only thing the the lady kept asking for was payment, no menu was available, no tour of the restaurant. She asked for the payment 3 times. While we were outside at the gate she said “you’re here to make the payment right?” We got to reception and she took out a card machine and said you can make the payment now and we asked for a menu and she said it’s not ready. I just couldn’t understand.
We refused to pre pay and left but said we will come for dinner.
Dinner was fine but kinda had high expectations especially since they are a five star establishment.
Starter was shrimp popcorn salad thingy that was tasty.
Butternut Soup was too thick and served cold. Crème Brulee crust was soft.
Overall, the staff members at the restaurant were really nice. The lodge is beautiful but the booking experience was kinda odd to me especially how the lady kept asking us to pay and didn’t seem to care about anything but the payment.

Wow! From the minute you drive through that gate, one just feels so safe and spoilt! The staff welcome , the help with our bags, the welcome drink and wet cloth. Then we got escorted to the treatment room where all is explained and the treatments are so professional. We had the privilege of staying in the Diamond suite ! This is the best accommodation I have ever stayed in and it’s on our doorstep . Dinner was the moonlight package which was the treatments as well as a four course meal . We had breakfast on the beach deck the following morning . Well done to Prana . There is nowhere else to send your loved ones if you are wishing to make them feel special ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In all my years of guiding in most southern African countries and staying at exclusive top end lodges I have never experienced such a high standard of accommodation and warm hospitality as we experienced at Prana Lodge. Full compliments to Gail, Megan and the team for such a professional operation. From the very first greeting until we hooted as we drove down the driveway we felt so comfortable and 'at home' at Prana- so much so we have booked to return in November !! the staff were amazingly attentive without being overly 'caring' or fussing and very courteous and polite , a very happy balance and the food is excellent too!!

Our family stay at Prana Lodge and Beach House was a positive surprise.
Accommodation is upscale with attention to detail with beautiful rose filled vases. The main hotel area looks a bit dated with contrasting and disjointed decor.
Suites are large and comfortable with pristine, white towels and luxurious beds. Housekeeping is Heather's department and she does an amazing job in ensuring every guest request is swiftly attended to. Rooms are always fresh and welcoming and the evening turn down service is thorough. The complimentary coffee station with wholesome crunchies as well as unlimited, still mineral water were great.
We were fortunate to be upgraded to The Beach House which is a newly renovated luxury space where we enjoyed and appreciated our last two days without leaving.
Food at Prana is generally good and served hot. The well thought out breakfast menu is tasty offering delicious omelettes. Croissants are served crisp and hot. Set Dinner Menus are tasty although I found far too many contrasting flavours. After adventuring out to local eateries, we all agreed that Prana, does indeed, serve quality meals with effort and care.
Hospitality staff are approachable and friendly. Service is noteworthy- thank you.
The Spa is fabulous. All treatments were world class. Therapist work hard and the essential and aromatherapy oils used are good quality. The environment is quiet and relaxing. A truly special service!
We loved Prana Lodge but found the surrounding area rather limited.
Thanks to Andre, Simba and their dedicated team who all contributed to a wonderful family getaway👌

We stayed at Prana 18-22 Dec for a private family/wedding function.
The site itself was clean whilst feeling like you were walking through the forest with nature surrounding you. The staff are superb and cannot do enough for you, special thanks to Heather, Kay, Elvis, Andre, Sharon & Simba for their help throughout our stay. The suite was beautiful with its own private garden/pool area - we had a visit from the family of monkeys! Our only comment for the tanzanite suite would be the option of having an indoor shower as it was either take one outside or run a bath which weren’t ideal if we got back late. We only had breakfast in the restaurant and again, the staff were brilliant and the food was delicious. If you are vegetarian make sure to clearly state this with ‘no meat’ when ordering as a couple menus differed slightly with their offerings (French toast & omelette).
The beach access may be tricky for some but if you are able to, definitely take the stroll for a wonderful view.
Truly a 5* stay. We hope to visit Prana Lodge again!

We visited the lodge this week as a family of four. The lodge was exceptional in a number of areas. Superb food and service that went above and beyond to accommodate our every request. The lodge is around an untouched beach and tranquil beach area. Although the waters were too cold for us (at this time of the year) you could have lovely walks on the beach. The spa is off a wonderful quality and standard and if you wish to get away from the maddening crowd, this is a great place to do so.

A one night stay on a DBB at Prana Lodge enroute to Knysna. We stayed in the lovely forest Suite amongst the fauna of the coastline of Cintsa.
Staff were friendly and helpful and delivered our luggage to our room where a welcome pot of tea awaited! Room was very spacious with a lovely lounge and an outdoor patio and our bathroom had all the luxuries incl soft gowns and slippers with a fabulous outdoor shower! Attention to detail with a “turn down” service while we ate a delicious Tasting Menu dinner in their warm restaurant. A very tasty dinner with exquisite Creme Brûlée for dessert! Also a five star breakfast ! Thank you Megan - your resort is ideal for couples !
