Actual caravan very good although a bit sparse on glasses, plates etc. Only enough for four people and no extra. However internet and phone signal inside is virtually non existant. Would not return for that reason.

My parents own a lodge here, it’s meant to be a 5 star holiday park. Phone signal and internet is terrible, we’ve had barely any internet connection at all l meaning that we do not have access to important emails, security cameras at home, contact with the outside world (any family emergencies), unable to order food, watch television. Considering the high fees they charge this is disgusting, complained about it several times but nothing has been done about it. We are now seriously considering selling the lodge and moving on now due to endless issues. The lodge cost a lot of money and we’ve had multiple leaks, their is a current leak in one of the bathroom roofs that we are still waiting for them to send someone out to. The boilers been faulty several times, multiply windows blown, replaced and blown again, parts coming away for cupboards, walls, around the patio doors etc, the list goes on. Poor quality lodge and furniture. To add, the club is always filthy, poor customer service in bar and restaurant area. I am warning all people to stay away, do not waste your money and please do not be fooled like our family has.

Absolutely lovely! First time choosing to stay in a holiday park in a caravan, but definitely not last. Although we did not get to explore all the park's advertised facilities, we enjoyed shopping at the local shop, great range of choices (from food to toys and what you may need). I loved how quiet it was, although completely booked out. We loved walking around the park in the evening, surprised how many said hello with a smile (wasn't sure whether this is something locals do there), and enjoyed going to the beach (about 15-20 mins walk with a 5 years old). Definitely a great choice, if you want a different scenery, quiet location, lovely views, and a great alternative to busy tourists invaded cities by the seaside. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in a hot tub sublime caravan shortly after lockdown restrictions eased in April. The contactless check in works perfectly with the map taking you straight to your caravan and the keys in the keysafe outside, this is something that should definitely stay in place even after covid is a thing of the past! The caravan was lovely and clean and had everything we needed, the hot tub was amazing and at temperature when we arrived. The weather was lovely the weekend we came and so we made use of the BBQ stand while there. We are outside at the onsite restaurant and the food we had was brilliant and was also reasonably priced, we would definitely eat here again. We had a bit of an issue using a voucher on the app so the staff did our order on their tablet which was no bother. We are regulars at all shorefield parks and stay in hot tub caravan and lodges aswell as staying at touring sites in our own tourer caravan. Keep up the good work Shorefield!

Friday to Monday break 28/5 - 31/5. The Shrubbery is a brand new treehouse aimed at couples(2 persons accommodation). It is part of 3 new treehouses tucked away and accessed by a private electric gate. Originally due for completion April 2021 but due to the contractors going out of business they were late being released. When the gates open it is truly special and secluded. It definitely feels separate from the rest of the park. The other 2 treehouses are for large groups. No dogs allowed in any of the treehouses - sadly! You gain access to the Shrubbery up a wooden ramp which leads to private decking. On the decking is a gas bbq - though no bbq utensils supplied, pizza oven, 2 sun-loungers, table and chairs for 4 and the hot tub. The hot tub is large enough for 6 adults and has steps leading up to it. The decking area is not overlooked and very quiet. There is a storage box for the outside chair cushions and at night there was plenty of outside lights. Inside is open plan, studio like. The front door opens to the kitchen and the patio door opens to bedroom/sofa area. The kitchen is well equipped, however not a lot of food storage space. No cheese grater supplied. There is a king size bed which unfortunately is not that comfortable, it sinks in the middle!! Large smart tv with Disney+, Netflix and bbc iPlayer. A fire, sofa for 2 and 2 stools at the breakfast bar. A large en-suite with walk in shower. Small wardrobe space, enough for 4 hangers. No chest of drawers only bedside cabinets and no under bed storage for luggage etc. Storage in general was minimal and definitely needs reviewing going forward as it lets the property down. We should of had bathrobes supplied but didn’t. This treehouse is ideal for a weekend getaway, for peace and relaxation. It is a 20 minute walk to the shingle beach and 10 minute walk to the main resort area with shop, reception etc. Unfortunately due to the lack of storage space this property would not suit a long holiday bringing lots of luggage. We also visited the Royal Oak pub at the end of the resort road and had a very good meal. Gastric pub food with excellent customer service.
