Lovely understated hotel. We were here a few years ago and what a transformation. From being a typical Scottish hotel of the 70s now it’s a lovely modern hotel lovely . The food was fantastic Portion sizes very generous and the deserts were to die for. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you Nice bottle of wine to go with dinner not expensive at £22. Will definitely be back. Beautiful location with lovely views

We stayed in the beach huts,we did wonder if they would be warm enough in December but we’re so cosy. The hotel was quiet as pre Christmas but still offered tasteful breakfast, cooked well and tasted good. Staff were all friendly and keen to make guests feel welcome , with good service. Prasad and Kumara made sure we were welcomed and stay going well, friendly and attentive. This hotel is very clean, dated in some areas but l believe being refurbished. Best location with breathtaking views and plenty of outside space which we hope to enjoy again in the summer months. Would recommend and hope to return soon .

Although it appears the hotel has had some refurbishment in the public rooms my room and the corridors and staircase were rather scruffy with old furniture. The dining room was cold and the menu, though extensive, was extremely unfriendly for anyone requiring a gluten free meal. I was not impressed with mine and it was expensive for what was provided.

This was our third visit to the Onich hotel staying in a beach pod. The beach pod was warm, cosy, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. There is tea & coffee facilities, a fridge, microwave and hob, not that we ever use these facilities as the food in the Onich hotel is delicious! This visit we brought family members with us who also loved it. The scenery is beautiful and a very relaxing place to be. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. They cannot do enough for you to ensure you have the most pleasant stay. The breakfast provided in the morning is also very good. It is safe to say we are looking forward to booking and coming back again soon. One night just isn’t enough. Thank you again for another great stay.

Stayed Fri-Sun ,easy check in,friendly welcoming owner/manager,we were allocated Rum luxury pod which was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy, lovely crisp white linen and comfy bed,had an issue with wi fi and manager was there in minutes on a very stormy night and quickly sorted things for us!we are not fans of buffet breakfasts but The Onich did not disappoint good choice, well presented, everything was delicious, nicely cooked and hot, would not hesitate in coming back again or recommending to others .

Got to the hotel looked nice from the entering. This was a business trip so we could access wether the hotel would be a good stopover for our customers. Sadly I was given a front roadside room. I immediately went back to reception to say I’m away at 04.00am and the roadside room was very noisy. Yes, I booked a single room but was told to move you to a room at the back of hotel would be another £101.00 pounds. I think to ask to move room should not have been a problem as the hotel barley had any rooms filled. I was planning to eat dinner with possibly a couple of drinks but sadly I drove to nearby restaurant and had dinner there. As a company we will now look at other venues for our customers to stay in 2024.

Stayed in one of the pods ‘South Uist’ and loved every moment. Well heated and comfortable with everything you need for a comfortable stay including a tasty breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant which was outstanding. The salmon main was delicious. The staff were amazing and make you feel so welcome. My dog loved the beach and the views from the pods for sunset and sunrise are outstanding. I will most definitely return.
