This was a lovely little getaway. Couple of days away. Staff were absolutely lovely, Jack in the resturant was a star, went above and beyond food was fabulous, then there was Happy Zoe, she was a very happy smiley part of the cleaning staff. All staff were pleasant and friendly. Rooms were spotless. We would go back.

Myself and my partner booked an afternoon tea and leisure afternoon. We arrived and was given a towel and a locker key on entering the changing rooms they was dirty the floor soaked through my partner said there was a horrible smell in the women’s changing room and other guests were complaining. On entrance to the pool area there is sauna jacuzzi and a tiny pool. The pool was full of hair and insects were floating around in the pool. In the steam room there was a dirty floor and tissues abandoned. The shower after you come out of the steam room is full of mould. There is only two sun loungers so you can’t get to relax on them as other people already have them. We decided to leave the pool area and return to the changing rooms where one of the paying members said the place is disgusting they always complained and nothing gets done, we was lucky that things were open as they are normally broken or closed. Afternoon tea was okay basic but served a purpose. In all honesty we wish we hadn’t of come here very basic dirty and the hygiene is extremely poor.

Good value for the price but I wouldn't return to this particular hotel (the oaks) is far superior. Reception staff very friendly, leisure facilities are ok, room was good food was delicious but our experience was ruined by a member of staff behind the bar (Brooke) she made us feel very uncomfortable and was rude on a couple if occasions

Went for an all inclusive short break over Christmas. All inclusive is great value. Bar staff really friendly, even changed the Christmas CD for something else at our request! Room a little dated but clean and maintained. Food and drinks really good. Swimming pool and jacuzzi nice and warm. Dissapointed sauna was out of order, another guest complained it hadn't been fixed in a long time. Walking distance to the picturesque town of Ramsbottom and the East lancs railway.

On arrival good sized car park. Room dated and in need of a little TLC & upgrading for the price paid. Room was clean though. En suite poor. Taps loose on sink and bath. Food good, however only 22 seats in bar area, so when in bar for all inclusive if you don’t get a seat you have to go back to your room or stand up! Nearly 40 rooms would equate to around 80 people may be in the bar/ restaurant area with very little seating. Leisure facilities ok, but pool too cold. Everyone we spoke to wasn’t happy about this and most complained to Reception but informed it was at the correct temperature. On leaving & handing room key back there was no ‘did you have a good stay’ or any pleasantries. I am not sure they are that bothered for feedback! All bar staff were great. All in all, I won’t rebook this hotel
