We stayed in a deluxe room which had a very comfortable king size bed, crisp bedding, writing desk, kettle, tea, coffee, cups, glasses, mini bar, coffee maker.
The room was large enough and also had dressing gowns and slippers, nice to relax in. Shower over bath with additional shampoo, shower cap, hairdryer, etc. Information about Bergen in room.

Breakfast buffet was one of the best we've come across during our 10 day road trip. Something for everyone, hot and cold foods, frequently replenished by chefs. Hot and colds drinks, cheeses, salmon, fruit, cereals, cakes, peanut butter (yumm) and pastries.........I could go on!!!! Amazing and all fresh. Waiting staff were professional and welcoming.
Plenty of free on site parking. Electric points for vehicles (didn't use so not sure if their's a fee). Nearby petrol stations cheaper than further into the city centre @1.90 (when we were there 13th Feb).
Amazing stay, highly recommended. This is definitely one of the best airport hotels we've been to when returning home from anywhere to the UK. Thank you Thon Hotel Bergen Airport.

Turns out Thon airport hotel isn't exactly at the airport. More in the middle of an industrial area with not much around it. Initially upon arriving it took nearly 20 minutes to get checked in due to 2 or 3 other guests ahead of me in the queue. The receptionist who checked me in looked as if I was inconveniencing her by being there. No smile, no eye contact, no welcome at all. Went to my room and found the key would not open the door. Had to go back and inconvenience the receptionist again who looked even more irritated by my need for help. Eventually got into the room to be greeted by a smell I can only compare to that of a wet dog or old gym shoes ! I didn't go back and ask for a new room since the receptionist looked like she might shout at me for being difficult. The rooms are bare and unwelcoming. A suspicious brown stain on the outside of the toilet bowl didn't fill me with confidence that the room was cleaned very well. The noise of the fan in the bathroom kept me awake most of the night. And even when i did get to sleep at around 6am the noise of the heavy traffic starting outside the hotel soon woke me up. Breakfast in the morning was incredible. The only highlight of my stay !!.....One criticism I would have is that all the fried eggs looked burned on the bottom (crispy brown pieces on the edges) so i never got to try them. Was very happy to check out in the morning. Definitely my least enjoyable hotel stay in bergen.....in fact in norway !!

I give in fact only one star (just because less you can not) just for this. For me honesty is worth more than a well-appointed room. The staff teased us for two days at breakfast. I also tell it to warn Italians who think of coming to stay here. In the breakfast buffet, there is an “Italian” coffee machine, with cappuccino, espresso and whatever. The first day it was off and kindly asking the maid to turn it on, she replied that it was broken. The waitress in question you will immediately recognize her by the non-existent smile, the rudeness always ready in the answers and, if you still have doubts in recognition, she is the only one with a very short blonde haircut and glasses. I advise against dealing with her. The machine, in fact, was not broken, so much so that it was turned on 10 minutes later and was in perfect working order. With all the airport hotels being built in Bergen this is no longer your top choice for a layover or a stop near the airport.It is however a good place to stay when attending conferences. The food is good, that goes for both breakfeast, lunch and dinner and when attending meetings you will also be served nice snacks, food and smoothies. Decent rooms, yet small. I stayed overnight on the tour. It was a late night arrival, so it was a good 10-minute drive from the airport. The rooms were relatively spacious, with ample suitcases. There was also a bathtub, so it was nice to soak in hot water slowly. We didn't have breakfast the next morning because we left early in the morning, but it was great to have free hot water, coffee in the lobby. There was also a pot in the room. Very satisfied with the hotel. The location was no problem in relation to the city centre, as the light rail ran right nearby. The breakfast was top notch and the room was clean and nice. Pleasant service. We really want to visit this hotel several times. Very comfortable with the light rail and we got to see more of the areas around the city centre.

We were 3 families who traveled together to experience Bergen and visit family. We had one double room and two family rooms. The rooms were nice and clean and the baby beds had nice motifs on the covers, so the little two-year-old boy was overjoyed 😊 The staff were nice and accommodating, so we would love to come back.

The easiest way to get here is to take the city train "Bybanen" from the city center of Bergen to our hotel. Stops approximately 100 meters from the hotel.
The best way would be to take a taxi, it takes only 2-3 minutes to get there, unfortunately to early for the hotel shuttle service since you have to be there at least an hour before departure.
Hi. We have a Shuttle service Monday to Friday in the morning to the airport, but I am afraid you need to take a taxi to get here. The taxi will cost you about Nok 120,-. There is a rental Company nearby (15 min walk) but I also think some of the companies deliver the car if you ask for it.
