We stayed for 3 days in the hotel. The location is close to Beaune and you can easily reach all the good restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet. The bedroom is roomy and clean. A very good breakfast. I strongly recommend it.

More than a hotel, a real house, refined, delicious, managed with care and love, full of flowers and pieces of local art and crafts. Excellent cleaning. Beautiful garden with beautiful swimming pool. Too bad only for the total absence of restaurant service. 10 minutes and you are in Beaune s center. Highly recommended.

Regardless whether you are visiting the beautiful region or (as we were) just traveling down the “Route du Soleil”-motorway in search for a convenient place to stay the night, this is The Place To Be!. Nothing is more relaxing and satisfying than finding a hotel that is just 3 minutes from the motorway, yet in a perfectly quiet little village. Friendly staff and a nice little bar to quench your thirst. A nice breakfast sets you up for the day to come, though the fact that breakfast is not included in room price was not made entirely clear. The hotel has no restaurant that serves dinner, so make sure to aks them to make you a reservation at the nearby “Berger du Temps” restaurant (next door). Great food and a convivial atmosphere, but unfortunately often fully booked if you don’t make a reservation well in advance. There are other options, but that means driving and thus having to forgo the wonderful Burgundy wines It's not a cheap place to stay, but you get a lot of French atmosphere in terurn

The property was very nice looking, weird location and near highway but tucked away making it quiet. The exterior and overall building is quaint and old style. The breakfast was tasty. Pretty and well kept pool and courtyard 0 Breakfast overpriced and not included and that was not obvious or price stated anywhere. Outdated rooms and amenities, but charming wine country feel. Some rooms have tubs only and booking does not make that clear, we ended up with a tub with no shower, which is not a joy to wash in. It should be more clear on booking site as to what you will get. My biggest issue with this property is the service. Being in burgundy and a small property you would think they would be excited to offer suggestions for wine tasting places, I was given a brochure, but not much more than that. Pretty Disappointing. My biggest issue with this property is the service. Being in burgundy and a small property you would think they would be excited to offer suggestions for wine tasting places, I was given a brochure, but not much more than that. Pretty Disappointing. The man who runs the property provides overall poor service. In our room one light was out and the other flashed constantly. In the morning I kindly asked the man running the front desk to please fix it, came back 8 hours later and still not fixed. I reminded him again and yet still not fixed before they left for the evening and we checked out the next morning. So that evening, I took out the light myself making it a dark bathroom, due to having epilepsy I can't be in a room with a flashing light. I told the man in the morning and he shrugged and said sorry " I was too busy all day". That is just an absurd response for a supposedly 4 star property. It is a small operation but that is really no excuse and just lazy. The light wouldn't have been a big deal if just dealt with promptly, but paying 200 euro a night for a room should have a bathroom with functioning lights and some level of customer service. The man offered no compensation, or acknowledgment for the issue. Great potential, but I would spend your money elsewhere, many other properties that would have had better service and an overall better experience.

Driving from the UK to the south of France, my head grew weary and I had to stop for the night. I picked this hotel because it looked so charming and lovely. Upon arrival, it seemed I’d picked well. But going into the building, the family and friends of the owner had gathered and spread out in the public areas, meaning there was nowhere other than the bedroom where you didn’t feel like you had wandered, unwelcome and uninvited, into someone’s home. I hadn’t eaten since breakfast, and it was early evening by the time I arrived. I asked if they could arrange any kind of light meal but was told they couldn’t. Ok, could they then recommend somewhere close by, maybe in Beaune? They said no, because everywhere would already be closed as it was a bank holiday. I had to go back to the car and pull out a couple of small pieces of individual wrapped cheeses I is in the car, which was all I was going to have for dinner, it seemed. I had to sit outside to eat it, as I was unwelcome in the sitting area as a paying guest and not a family member. When I returned to my room, passing through the “public” areas, the family where in the midst of an ample feast. Surely they could have offered to spare a piece of bread or a slice of meat? The next day, when I checked out, however, the owner made up for the lack of attention by remembering, after I check out and was already on my way to the car, that the booking fee I paid didn’t include the 2€ local tax, so he chased me down to extract it from me. I had to gather up various coins to cover it, which was frustrating and embarrassing. All in all a charming building, though very dusty and needing more care, but abysmal service, and a feeling that you are imposing on them at home, not a paying guest.

We have stayed here many times over the past tens years or more as it serves as the midway point on our trips south. The ambiance is exceptional. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. They added a swimming pool this year. It our most frequented hotel and a place we come to at least twice each year. We will continue to do this. The breakfast buffet is very good, served in a pleasing room (or outdoors) and relaxing.

We booked hotel le clos for an overnight stop en route to the south of France. Very convenient for the autoroute yet quiet and felt ‘away from it all’. The rooms were large, comfortable and nicely furnished and air conditioned. They were happy to accommodate our dog too. Breakfast the following morning was a treat . The staff friendly and helpful. So nice in fact that we booked it for the return trip too. Unfortunately we had to cancel at short notice as we had to accelerate our return to avoid quarantine, but we were very pleased that they cancelled without charge. Great service! We will return on a future trip.

Given that the hotel is so close to the main road you aren’t expecting it to be as rustic and charming as it is. Lovely secure grounds and a beautiful old building. Very comfortable rooms. Adequate little bar and great buffet for breakfast. We were en route and broke up the journey. Large variety of restaurants in the town which is 3 miles. Restaurant next door looks nice but you need to book. Despite what Trip Advisor says it is currently open. Strongly recommend this hotel.
