Biafora Resort, run by the family since 1976, is located in Evergreen lung Sila to 1250 Mt, a few kilometers from the main tourist areas. It is a 4-star hotel open all year with 21 rooms completely renovated, tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort, a dining room, a banquet hall, a conference room and a health club with indoor pool (paid access ). Unique hotel in Calabria and in Sila in particular, it gives prestige to the mountain which has the cleanest air in Europe, it is certainly worth staying there, I don't know where else to go and what to recommend, in first place without doubts, but it is not a Luxury hotel as in the description I read, but a good 4 star.
It lies on the SS 107, around meadows, countryside, mountains, convenient parking and very welcoming renovated rooms. You can see the green sensitivity, not only from the panels and magnetic door openers. Breakfast (which is not a buffet as I read in the description, but much much better) is a pleasant surprise, almost unique in its kind... totally a la carte and express cuisine with top quality products that are km0, even from your own garden lovingly cared for by the owners. Bistro catering for lunch and dinner suspended in the summer months to make room for weddings (noisy and numerous) which is a bit out of place and forces you to go out for meals. At least a quick bar service (toasts, salads, juices) or packed breakfast/picnic service would certainly be useful given the high level, but they are working on it.
SPA service, massages, very pleasant and welcoming swimming pool with lifeguard, all staff of the hotel and SPA structure reliable, professional and empathetic, as well as in the lounge and at the reception. Special mention for Mr. Antonello and Gianluca who were also unique in solving small problems with skill and knowing how to deal with them.
I always say that the difference in companies is made by the people, here the staff are trained and created and pampered over the years, far-sighted and never presumptuous ownership, I thank Mr. Biafora who has many ideas to put into practice starting from the paths to walk around.
Excellent lunch on August 15th, with some hints of star cuisine from Hyle which we will try for next year when we return, perhaps not for 5 days but at least 3 nights, mention also of the desserts, they also offer a curbside collection service and I appreciated (beyond the goodness of the breakfast) also the birthday cake that all my friends liked.
Approved, you can always do better... you are capable of it.
Thanks, see you soon
Friendliness

We are still guests of the Biafora resort and we already feel the duty to compliment this facility and above all those who take care of it in every aspect! Modern and very well-kept hotel, superlative breakfast made up of artisanal products, some freshly prepared! We cannot judge the catering because we did not use it. What to say about the spa: all the best! We did a journey and a massage that to define as relaxing is an understatement, with trained staff who pamper you and follow you at all times. A big applause goes to the cleaners, ladies Letizia and Caterina, who make the structure shiny and safe, moreover they are available for every need! I recommend everyone to stay in this wonderful place in the heart of Sila. Brunella and Christmas from Corigliano-Rossano.

The Biafora is a focal point of the region for wellness enthusiasts, with the very well-equipped and maintained spa offering a range of services that draw adherents from near and far. It's set in pleasant grounds on the SS-107 just west of town, with plenty of parking and space to sit outside and relax without necessarily indulging in any of the spa amenities. The Michelin restaurant serves a rather pretentious breakfast more suited to the wellness brigade than to the hearty eater, and when the acclaimed restaurant is closed there is a very enjoyable rustic alternative just across the road in the Torre Garga.

I am sorry to note with no small regret that the quality of the Spa has dropped significantly in recent years, not as it is praised in some comments.
Tubs with water that is not very clean and their edges with brownish and mushy material, furniture in some places deteriorated. In the changing rooms there are safety boxes that do not lock and time is wasted in continually asking the staff for help to close or unlock. showers not very clean. Now let me explain why the phones are not used... but granted to "favorite individuals". It was supposed to be an experience as a couple...a relaxing Sunday, but we often found ourselves alone not knowing what to do or wait to access a specific route. The entrance is beautiful with many figures waiting for you...but it stops there. Only there. No refreshments or herbal teas, as is generally expected in spas. Mine is absolutely not intended to be a denigrating message... but an incentive to improve... especially to make the cost of the paid service worth it.

I have to divide the review into 2 parts: hotel-restaurant and spa-pool.
The hotel is very well done, clean, modern and with very polite and always available staff. The same thing can be said of the excellent restaurant, excellent dishes served with professionalism and with a very full-bodied wine list. Rating 9
Unfortunately the spa-wellness center does not deserve the same rating! If you decide to take advantage of the spa and hotel package, know that you will arrive at the spa as an external visitor. There is no connection between the 2 structures, so you will have to undress to do the route and then get dressed to return to the hotel. Furthermore, if you decide to spend some time in the pool before the wellness program, know that since it is open to the public you will find yourself among cheerful, cheering (and noisy) families and children intent on the bomb diving competitions!!! In short, it was all very unrelaxing. The wellness program is followed step by step by the staff, it is not very large but well done, it is a shame that the final massage is of mediocre quality with a truly embarrassing excess use of oil. Immediately afterwards, you have to take a shower, get dressed and go back to the room (about 2 minutes outdoors). In short, I can't give it more than a 5, mostly due to the courtesy of the staff and the total cleanliness. It can be improved...

An authentic oasis of paradise in the heart of Sila Grande. We stayed in this splendid property over the weekend and immediately found ourselves immersed in a dream atmosphere. As soon as we arrived we began a splendid wellness program during which every single step is followed by highly professional figures who, having the guests' privacy at heart, pay a lot of attention so that we do not cross paths with other people who are also following the identical path (perfect joints). In the evening we had dinner at the Bistro in the hotel where the dining room staff welcomed us with exquisite kindness combined with marked professionalism. Very good dishes.
And to conclude, the excellent breakfast consists of baked goods and high quality pastries created by local workers.
An experience to absolutely repeat. I highly recommend it

Enchanting place immersed in the splendid Sila. Super friendly and kind staff, they made me feel pampered from the moment I entered the reception.
Excellent value for money considering that I got a deluxe room, spa, dinner at the bistro and breakfast.
The spa is very clean and tidy, the girls guide you along the way, making sure you have 15 minutes reserved just for you in each area of the spa. We didn't try the Scottish shower, I hope to try it next time.
The Tavola XXIII bistro is truly exceptional: the flavors combine so well and the food is so good and genuine, with homemade bread and local ingredients, that it is truly a luxury experience. I would go back just for that!
My only negative note, but maybe it's just a subjective question, is that the temperature in the room was a little high and we had to sleep with the window open because there was no way to change it. I also found the pillows a little uncomfortable, one too high and one too low, so I wasn't able to sleep well.
Everything else was an excellent experience and I will definitely return.

Amazing and very close to Cuturelle adventure Park... It's a park that caters children as young as 2 years old to adults over 50years... We where there on a Sunday and we loved the Foam Party organized. The place is only 5 minutes drive. Surely recommended for families with young children

Definitely a Hotel that deserves the 5th ⭐

Magnificent room, regenerating comfort sleep, impeccable cleanliness,
Exceptional spa, excellent food.

We had an unforgettable stay, staff ready and effective to meet every request.
Professionalism and grace will certainly not be lacking in this structure.
The location offers activities and excursions not to be missed.

Exquisite dinner, professionalism like few and extraordinary Breakfast with table service and finally without the usual boring Buffet.
The products each better than the other and especially the jams, bread, desserts strictly homemade.
The customer goes pampered from beginning to end, the only disappointment was having to leave. 🥹 but we will be back!
