Checked in at 10:30 at night only to discover no hot water for the bath for my wife. No hot water in the morning for a shower! I actually had to go across the road to another building! Then downstairs to a cold buffet breakfast with a pandemic on??

I went to my Aunt's wedding at this beautiful venue and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, the bedrooms were very lovely and the staff made us feel welcome. One of the staff members called Wendy was especially kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Me and my Husband visited here for a 2 night stay for part of our honeymoon. Fantastic pub and hotel, gorgeous huge garden at the back with giant chess board! Me and my husband had a great time playing chess in the sunshine. Our room was beautiful, and the bed was very comfy. Akshay at our check in was very accommodating and friendly, he made everything perfect for us and wished us a happy honeymoon. Looking forward to returning soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a shame. Building newly painted in and out. Rooms comfortable but lack detail. Shower difficult to operate, light bulbs outside blown therefor walk to room in part darkness. Rooms are noisy. In the bar no Guinness nor any bitter despite being a bank holiday. Management are not welcoming though serving staff are but chaotic. No bar meal for evening meal. Restraint is very comfortable however structure of menu poor. No beef whatsoever and and we asked for white chocolate mouse and told is was cheesecake. Excellent breakfast with wide choice. Sad so much potential but is let down by detail.

I visited The Olde Bell recently while on a Thames boat holiday (with the family). It's a very pleasant and quaint old establishment with well trained and courteous staff. We sat outside for drinks and it was most enjoayable.
