My new husband and I visited this beautiful hotel in August 2023 on our honeymoon. We were absolutely blown away and will most certainly return as soon as we can! This boutique hotel is set on the side of gorgeous mountain, looking across at the rolling ridges. Our room's balcony overlooked the most fantastic landscape of mountains as far as the eye could see. The facilities at the hotel are excellent with two outdoor pools (both so quiet and peaceful and overlooking the mountains), a hammam spa, sauna, hot tub and gym facilities. I recommend having a massage at the hotel; it was incredible. The restaurant is top class. The quality of the ingredients and produce is excellent. We ate dinner three nights, lunch most days and breakfast every day, and we honestly could not fault a thing! Delicious and well considered menu using local produce and healthy sustainable ingredients. The finishings in the bedroom are of the highest quality. Everything is well considered and laid-out and the attention to detail is impeccable. We had some laundry done during our stay and when we arrived back to our room in the afternoon, all our clean laundry was hanging in the wardrobe - a really nice personal touch! The staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Everybody who we encountered was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. I unfortunately fell ill while I was at the hotel and the staff were so helpful in organising an appointment with a local medical centre. We really appreciated this. Overall, this is my favourite hotel I have ever stayed in and I really hope one day we can return. Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job at your business. Wishing you every success going forward.

I Cannot fault this place. We just one week at Hotel Piatatella and were simply wowed. We had the room in the main building called Monte Grosso. Waking up to the view from the balcony each morning was simply spectacular. One of the best views we have ever had from a bedroom. The hotel is charming and boutique style with only 17 rooms. Everything has been so tastefully decorated that it was a complete pleasure staying there and we felt very at home. We explored the Baling region, using the hotel as a base and tended to do half day’s exploring and half a day by one of the two beautiful swimming pools. There is an honesty bar at the first pool which seemed to work well. I worked out one morning in the the very calming all wood, almost sauna styled gym which has a yoga pavilion looking onto the Corsican Marquis. It was so amazingly located and thought out. Very simple in terms of the machines available however just enough to get a decent work out. Next comes the food, carefully prepared by chef Marie. We ate at the hotel for 3 nights out of our week and it was the best food we have eaten whilst in corsica. The 3 course menu with amuse bouche is incredibly well priced at 48 Euros per head. I believe it was Sunday night where we ate a vegetable tart, magret de canard and moulleux du chocolate. The local wine is very well priced and what I loved was ordering a bottle of wine by the pool and just keeping it in their fridge for dinner or even the following day. These simple touches make the hotel have a feeling like home away from home. Our room was very comfortable, simple, yet stylishly done. The bathroom was a good size with a bath a decent sized shower. Even tiny details like the washing line on the balcony were well thought out. All of the staff were very friendly (shout goes out to Samuel) and one of the owners who we met was delightful. She spoke perfect English. Going to the beach , we were offered towels for the day along with plastic money holders which are invaluable having forgot mine back home. We cannot wait to return to this amazing hotel. We spent a week down south in Bonifaccio and all we kept reminiscing was about the beautiful, raw, North and Hotel a piatatella.

Our first trip to Corsica was made enchanted by our stay at this lovely hotel in La Balagne. The grounds are beautifully carved out of the hillside, and each room has a balcony with stunning views across the valley. Rooms are simple but elegant, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect -- up in the hills, and a short walk down to the charming little village of Monticellu, but only a short drive to the larger bustling port of L'Ile Rousse, 10 minutes to lovely beaches, and an easy drive to many sights. Calm, quiet and peaceful, we ended up coming back to the hotel for dinner many nights. The dinners, and the service, are also what set A Piatatella apart. A small but elegant and healthy! menu every evening, wonderful wine and cocktail lists (try their Cap Corse -- Corsica's version of an Aperol Spritz, delicious and strong!) with the light slowly fading pink over the valley, and delightful conversations with staff and other guests -- made for memorable evenings. The staff was superb -- hats off to Audrey and the rotating concierges, who helped us choose where to visit based on our interests, and even arranged for us to go to an amazing concert of local Corsican polyphonic music -- a glorious experience ! Among other favorite experiences -- visiting hill top towns, le Desert d'Ariages, and St. Florent, swimming at beautiful beaches, and shopping at the open air market in Ile Rousse, then picnicking by the water. All within easy driving of the hotel. We cannot say enough about this hotel, and this beautiful part of Corsica. We stayed for 8 days -- we could easily have stayed 8 more.

A little slice of paradise. Great food, with a well executed set menu each day. Pleasant and thoughtful staff. Quiet and beautiful location with great views over the valley. The room was well equipped, a good size and not overlooked. Two pools with great views.

We were very interested in this hotel because the website described just what we were looking for and we were not disappointed. Everything about this experience was excellent; the rooms, the food, the staff and the area all came together to give us the relaxing holiday we wanted. There are three grades of room all of which have excellent facilities - those in the main house have the best views. Although we did not use them, there are spa facilities and a jacuzzi. There are also two swimming pools - one of which is heated. The views from the hotel of the Reginu valley are spectacular. We hired a car to get to the hotel and to tour the local villages but Monticellu is within easy walking distance and there are other villages further afield which are also accessible on well maintained paths, so a car is not essential. We had an issue with our hire car during our stay and asked the staff to help - they took ownership of the problem and resolved it to our complete satisfaction - special thanks to Thierry.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful spot away from the madness of the beach front but still only a stone throw from it. The rooms are very spacious with amazing views of the mountains. The breakfast is excellent and very well presented. A rare find suggested to us by Corsicans and well worth the trip.

We stayed for five nights in the first week of October. The minute we arrived we felt totally relaxed, so quiet and the landscaping is perfect, feels really natural, fragrant and adds to the feeling of privacy around the accommodation and all the amenities. We had a first floor room which had a breathtaking view of the mountains and valley and also the amazing Red Kites that soared in the sky right in front of our balcony everyday. The rooms were spotless and beautifully designed and furnished with super comfy beds. The owners have worked really hard to create a unique, discreet and stylish retreat. Great views from almost everywhere in the hotel, beautiful infinity pools (to be honest we only used the heated one), small gym and spa. All of the staff are really helpful, there if you need them but not overly visible which we liked, some days we felt like we had the place to ourselves. We ate dinner several nights in the restaurant, the food was good and the service was excellent. Amazing selection of food at breakfast and again the staff were so friendly and efficient. The ladies on reception were also always ready to help with any queries regarding restaurants, beaches and walks in the area etc. It really is a 5 star hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and really hope to return in the future.

A Piattatella: A Slice of Heaven in Corsica My husband and I had the pleasure of spending three days and nights in this wonderful hotel. It is modern and spacious and light-filled and beautifully appointed. It has an eco-friendly approach. The service is impeccable and they go out of their way to help their guests. The grounds are so beautiful. I have no words to describe. I can only say that on our two week trip, I wish I could sightsee and return to spend some time relaxing at A Piattatella every night.
