We booked our trip through British Airways for 2 weeks of sun, good food and the opportunity to swim in what appeared to be lovely swimming pools. One out of 3 is not a good score. We had the sun and the pools looked great unfortunately they were freezing and not at all a pleasant experience. You could tell by the number of people around the pool area which was packed and the number in the pool which was very few. You would think in a place with wall to wall sunshine they could have worked out how to heat a pool. The package was supposed to be all inclusive but that does not include the Al a carte restaurant, Baileys at the bar or bottled water in your room unless you are in the upgraded rooms. We started our stay in room 708 but had to move after a few days as the smell of sewage was overbearing. This part of the resort is close to a sewage pumping station and the smell really affected this area. We moved to room 1701 and that was very nicely situated by the adult only pool. The room was spacious and very well equipped with kettle, fridge, hair dryer, plenty of storage space and very good shower although this did have a tendency to change temperature part way through a shower. The food in the buffet restaurant was very disappointing, very repetitive invariably luke warm and if something didn't get used at dinner often turned up at lunch the next day. Breakfast was typical cooked or continental with a reasonable selection, however the cereals were awful and the same everyday, although they did have almond and soya milk available as well as cows milk. Lunch and dinner were interchangeable and you couldn't just get a sandwich or light snack as there was no cold meats available so it was cheese and salad or cooked food which you don't want everyday. The drinks at the bars are different and didn't really taste the way you would expect, we couldn't put our finger on what the problem was but it wasn't good. Having said that, the bar staff in the evening at the signature bar were great and always friendly. The entertainment in the evening was dire with everything on a 7 day loop. 2 cultural acts and awful quizzes on other nights. Must do better!! Unfortunately with few exceptions we found the staff quite offhand and not particularly welcoming. The other issue is smoking which is allowed in all outdoor spaces and there is nowhere in any bar where non smokers can enjoy a drink or spend time without having smokers taking over. All in all a very disappointing experience that could have been so much better with a little more thought.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed here first week in October for a last minute holiday in the sun. It is a large hotel with several pools and bars in a quiet little village. The food is all served in the main dining room and we were spoilt for choice, I have never seen so many options for breakfast and all the staff were very friendly, especially Christine on the front desk. Drinks and snacks are available all day on all inclusive. There are a handful of lovely taverna's nearby, including one on the beach which is lovely and a few shops within walking distance. The bus into Corfu and Benitses is literally just outside the hotel and costs just 2 euro. We went on one of Captain Homers boat trips which was great. In summary a great hotel and exceptional value for money.

Previous reviews state their love of the hotel and staff so no point repeating that, its a large village complex 348 apartments so could hold 700-800 tourists, the signage is dark so until you get used to layout you will end up meandering about at night. There are 3 pools one near reception where games are held throughout day, second near blue bar which also has a good childrens area. The third is a adults only pool blighted by continous "Ibiza" music even though the clientele are largely older the girl was asked to play mixed age music but played same 6 songs throughout stay. You can upgrade to all/inc for £12 each well worth it.Our room was near the newer adult area and was very good, with a seperate shower room with walk in shower. Sadly you can leave complex and go to the scruffiest beach i have ever seen where some tavernas have placed a few sunbeds, Messonghi itself can be reached in a 10 min walk again a run down place lots of closed businesses highlighting the poverty for some.Moraitika just a little further on a little better with choice of restaurants, bars and a far superior beach. We travelled with Tui after our usual Turkish holiday was cancelled, here the complex was very busy first week full of Friendly French and Germans actually we only saw a dozen brits out of hundreds. All told a relaxing holiday, with options to tour island.

So I have just got back from staying at Sentido Apollo Palace. I visited during Covid times and was very pleased to see all the safety measures in place. Masks are worn when inside buildings and around the buffet. All staff continue to wear facemasks including bar staff outside. All bedding is changed daily and there is hand sanitiser everywhere. There are three swimming pools including an adults only pool. Their facilities are very good and I had a spa treatment whilst staying there. The massage was exceptional. Staff are very helpful and everyone speaks English very well, which is a bonus as I have stayed places before where the language barrier was difficult. The food is by far the best that I have ever had at an all inclusive. There is a wide variety at all meal times. All tables were distanced and cleanliness was very good. They have a doctor on site which is extremely useful and you don't have to travel to sort out pre-covid flight tests, as the doctor on sight sorts it all out. Its €20 for a rapid lateral flow test and €60 for the PCR test. The location is very good, it is a short walk to the beach and taverners. There is a boat hire place and car hire place within a few minutes walk. I can't fault this hotel at all and I would definitely stay here again. Personally, I am very nervous to go out anywhere in the UK with covid but this hotel made me feel very safe.
