My partner and I stayed for two nights at Lea House, we would happily have stayed longer! The house is beautiful and very tastefully decorated, every home comfort you could wish for is provided. Caroline is a fantastic host and wonderful cook! She has extensive knowledge of the area and is full of ideas for things to do and places to see. My partner says the breakfast alone would be enough to entice him back! The whole package would be hard to beat.
Our kindest regards to Caroline, the sublime Jelly Bean, Lilli and Cracker, from Jane & Will, May 2013.

So sorry not to have responded before. Been a somewhat hectic summer! It seems smoked haddock and scrambled egg is the way to Will's heart at least! so I shall have to remember to have a goodly supply in stock if you decide to pay a return visit. very best wishes to you two from me and the whole menagerie too caroline, Jelly Bean, Lilli & Cracker!

Caroline made us extremely welcome. The house is delightfully furnished and comfortable. Nice tray in the room for tea etc, and good 'smelly' things to use in the bathroom. The dog,(Jellybean) is special. The food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. There were lots of leaflets for places to visit, and Caroline gave us some useful tips too.
Thoroughly to be recommended, as is this beautiful part of the country.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, comfy bed, clean bathroom with a good shower. Parking is a litle tight, and the curtains aren't blackout ones for anyone who's a light sleeper, though it didn't affect us.
I'd recommend it, and I'd stay again.

Lovely large bedrooms with lots of character. Beautiful area. Our host made us feel very welcome and had lots of useful suggestions for visits even though the weather was very wet. The breakfast was delicious. A bonus was the pub next door has excellent food and is a great place to chill.

Arriving at Lea House, Andrew's welcome was as hearty as Sophie's breakfast the next morning. Great cooking + homemade bread & preserves.
The place itself is a well restored 16th century English country dwelling.
The attention to detail of interior decor accessories we found most interesting.

We’ve had a great weekend in Lea thanks to Andy and Sophie for your hospitality and making us feel so welcome. The room was really cosy with a very comfy super-king bed which we did not want to leave! Lovely breakfast with fresh local ingredients and homemade bread and jam! Thanks again for a wonderful stay, we hope to come back again in the Summer.

I stayed here for two nights at the weekend for the second time and the room was perfect and the welcome even better! Andy and Sophie were wonderful hosts from start to finish and their house is so well presented and clearly loved. The lounge area for guests is stunning - a perfect, quiet area to read by the fire. The breakfast was superb and the local butcher’s bacon had so much flavour! Truly looking forward to my next visit.
