Neighbourhood
Kanda, Akihabara, Ochanomizu
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.

Everytime I visit a property, i always try to study the hotel's location first. I wasn't able to that before i checked in to Hotel Edoya. However, i wasn't dissappoint at all. There are at least 4 metro stops within walking distance. You can even walk your way to Ueno. We

I love this hotel. I have stayed in a few hotels in Tokyo and the Hotel Edoya is my favorite. I previously have stayed in modern business hotels but I prefer the old traditional charm of this hotel. The location is between Ueno and Akihabara, in the quiet neighborhood. The

I recently stayed at Hotel Edoya for the third time. This should suggest that I think it is a good place to stay. While it is a bit dated, the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The room rate is still very reasonable for Tokyo given breakfast is included. The hotel is

The hotel is very well located in a quiet neighborhood but close to Akihabara and Ueno afoot. The traditional rooms are big and really nice except the futon who are very hard. I didn't have hot water in my bathroom so I had to use the public bath. Very nice wifi and good

I was there in begin of April 2018. I believed that there was a construction side at 3-20-6 Yushima, just around the corner at the traffic light, and therefore just behind be Hotel. But I checked google-maps. The satellite pictures and the street view (April 2018) pictures are showing the "グランリビオザレジデンス". May they just finished after I left Tokyo or I mix it up with the construction site at 3-20-12, a few houses down the street towards Yushima Tenmangu. Therefore: I think there is no construction just next to the hotel. AmyLou0424 has the newest information I believe. Anyhow, if there was a construction site during my stay I didn't heard anything in the hotel.
