We stayed in the mobilhome in the garden. I was a bit worried before we got there but it turned out to be perfect for us (family of 5). The home is well equipped with anything we needed and we were completely comfortable and independent. The garden is very big, with lots of toys for the kids and there is an outside picnic table that is nice for eating outside. The owners are very nice and helpful. Really recommended!
After a more than warm welcome from the owners we immediately felt at home in these beautiful surroundings. Our immaculately clean ground floor room led out onto the large gardens, where one can relax, read or enjoy afternoon tea or a drink from the honesty bar. Our hosts also provide mini bus transport for a small fee to and from various points for walks around the island. An outside caterer can provide a 3 course evening meal if you wish to eat at the hotel or there are many restaurants in the town nearby. Les Tamaris is a wonderful place to stay and we shall certainly be returning there. Thank you to our hosts for such a friendly hotel.
Hotel aux Tamaris is situated on the edge of Sauzon, an idyllic little fishing town with a picturesque harbour. Our room was immaculately clean with a comfortable bed and large ensuite bathroom. What really elevates the place to the special though is not the rooms but the hospitality and the setting. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and told to make ourselves at home in the beautiful and large garden. The hosts have an honesty bar with local beers (including the delicious Belle Ile beer) and cider so you can relax in the gardens and watch the birds with a cool drink in hand. For a very small fee the hosts will set up the BBQ in the garden. We decided to take them up on the offer on our last night and were really pleased we did so. The hosts provided coals, BBQ tongs etc. laid a picnic table, washed the salad we'd bought and even baked potatoes in their oven for us! On the host's advice we bought fish caught that day from the local fisherman on the harbour and washed it down with a decent house white bought on premises. Watching the most beautiful sunset whilst we ate made the meal the most enjoyable, and ironically cheapest of a pretty gourmand holiday. Overall we were really happy with our stay and can only commend and thank the hosts for creating such a special environment and being so welcoming. Belle Ile is definitely worth a visit and we really enjoyed cycling around the island, visiting the Sarah Bernhardt forts and spending time on some fantastic beaches with great waves. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.…
Nice, small and clean hotel ideally located in Sauzon (Belle ile). Very friendly owners with plenty of advice on local restaurants and activities in Belle ile. Short walk from the hotel to the city. We very much recommend this place and will most likely come again in the future.
Thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay on this beautiful island. The hotel is delightful; the rooms are smart and comfy and the garden's a great place to relax. The breakfast, which can be taken in the garden, is substantial but bears no resemblance to the one advertised on the hotel's website. The hotel's situation is perfect in that it's a 10 minute walk from the port ( which is a blessing when you've had too much to eat at Le cafe da la cale,) and also on the bus route. We can strongly recommend this hotel
