Arrived after a long road trip looking forward to a relaxing bit of luxury. We paid R2109 for a 2 “bedroom” chalet self catering..... bed only, no breakfast. Aside the Iovely staff and charismatic bar area the experience was disappointing. The property felt like a contractors accommodation. Instant coffee sachets handed to us with exactly 2 biscuits in a plastic bag. The kitchen facilities were below par. R500 is required for “breakages deposit”, the TV doesn’t work and braai grid was filthy. There was no “2 rooms”.... the kitchen has a grid blocking the bunk beds from the kitchen. Another lesson not to book last minute even when you desperate to escape the confines of Covid.

Really really disappointing for the price you pay! The whole room is cheap and nasty- linen is worse than 2 star budget hotel and kitchen facilities are way way way worse than average SAN Parks offering! You have to pay a R500 cash deposit for breakages FYI... apparently because their showers get broken so often. It might be because the bathroom is designed with less than 50cm space for the toilet between the shower and the wall (and there is no door on this “bathroom” ) .... So not what we had expected and would definitely not recommended this spot to anyone.

What can I say..... Everything. The food was top class. Service out of this world. Atmosphere priceless. Best steak I have eaten in a very long time. Pricing for food was not expensive seeing the portions you get. It was immaculate beyond. See us as regulars coming to the restaurant. Thanks we ate like royalty. Keep it up

Perfect for a break from everything. The location is in the heart of the bushveld, tranquil and inviting. The on-site restaurant definitely has the best steaks in town (I recommend the "Fillet Snails") The staff is welcoming and very happy to assit with any queries, the bar has a homey feel and has to be one of the local watering holes of Thabazimbi. The chalets are beautifully done and makes you feel like you have just stepped into your own house.
