Another wonderful visit. The first few days we received less of a level of service to the standard we have come to expect but this was due to running at full capacity straight after new year! After the crowds died down we continued our holiday by upgrading to the villa suite where we had access to another more secluded pool area and had wonderful service. Not to mention we also had a golf buggy for use getting about. Food for a half board hotel is really something special. Pay the extra to visit the Japanese restaurant it’s a gastronomic experience. We didn’t eat at MB (the 2*) restaurant this time as we couldn’t get in but all the a la carte restaurants are wonderful. The beach sun beds were impossibly o get at the beginning of the week as was getting into the beach restaurant - best to get down there early when the hotel is busy and put your name down at the restaurant mid morning for a lunch spot. We will be back but I would say for £1000 a night regardless of how busy the service should remain constant.…
This was my first time at the Ritz and we were there to celebrate my husbands birthday. I had been in touch with the staff before our trip and they kindly arranged a cake and some wine along with balloons and individual messages from staff. We thought this was so lovely and personalised. I am a bonvoy member, so being Gold status we got an upgrade the following day, however I did have to chase this. Once we were upgraded, it made my husbands day, he got the golf cart which he found rather special, as did I, as it saved me walking to dinner in the evenings. The 1st room standard was fine, except for the bath plug didn’t work. The grounds were really special and very well maintained. Dinner in MB was fantastic, along with the little cake they provided. We personally found Verona a little underwhelming food wise, although the location and service was fantastic. Big thank you to Gabriel from the ambassador team who executed all tasks given to him with such expertise and speed. We would definitely return, and it’s not often we say that as we like to experience new places. …
We visited as a family of four, I was slightly apprehensive about the hotel as it looked like it was in the middle of nowhere but we had a fantastic holiday and with the beach it really made the holiday, we tried a few of the restaurants but the children loved the Italian the best, the service was fantastic and Diana was just so friendly. During the holiday we wanted some time just me and my wife so after a recommendation from the hotel we had a nanny from Great British nannies, honestly from start to finish the service was amazing and the children had so much fun with the nanny, it was the best thing we did.
Absolutely amazing trip to Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. The Ritz Carlton is beyond words. The service and the accommodations are impeccable and the Ritz is so recommended. We spent the week at the Infinity Pool and Giscar was so helpful and gracious. He made our pool experience so much more than we could have expected. The beach is also so much fun. Not to be missed. We had dinners at Verona, which were great, but also ventured out of the hotel to get a taste of local Canarian food. The entire experience was incredible and we cannot wait to return!!
ITV has taken me a long time to write this review…but as we look to book for our annual trip to Tenerife, we are now searching for alternatives after such a disappointing experience last Oct. Whilst we appreciate the challenges Covid presented with staff and managing costs the atmosphere, rules, service and quality of the experience was much diminished from previous years. But the prices have not. As other reviews have noted be aware that you must book the adult only villa if you wish to go to the infinity adult pool. We normally enjoy being in the hotel with the buzz of the bar, whilst using adult only pool. The adult only option in the Citadel was falling to bits and is tucked away. Not pleasant. The restaurants were challenging to book into, and when we there the service was average at best. The menu options at the beach restaurant were reduced (but we still loved it). The little train to the beach was not functioning. It wasn’t all bad, the breakfast at Mirador was great, the beach is clean and beautiful and some of the staff still have a degree of charm and desire to put the customer first. But something has fundamentally changed - perhaps management are more focused on costs and maintaining these new rules of who can go where and when…but it felt their priorities were not about customers first. So we look for an alternative…..all suggestions welcome!!!…
