This is a gem of a place. we were staying outside the hotel in self catering accommodation but our host recommended we enquire to see if could have a day pass at the beach and so glad we did. A lift takes you down to the sea front where platforms have been built over the rocks where you can subbathe and listen to the waves. Our lunch in the beach restaurant was delicious. fresh fish, pasta, bruchetta and lovely crisp dry house white wine. The staff were so friendly. Would definitely return.

It was a real pleasure to organize our wedding at this lovely hotel on 16th September. Ornella was exceptional, showing extraordinary availability and attention in ensuring that everything was perfect. Metrè Gianfranco demonstrated incredible mastery in managing the evening, while the staff overall was simply magnificent. Clara added a touch of beauty and care in every detail of the decorations, creating a truly special atmosphere.

But what made this day truly memorable was the superlative quality of the dinner. Each dish was an extraordinary culinary experience that delighted our guests. We can only praise San Michele for offering us such a perfect wedding in every aspect. It was a day that will remain etched in our hearts forever. Thank you very much to the whole team!

I very rarely write reviews but my stay at this hotel last week was so outstanding, I feel compelled to share the experience. The location is amazing, on a clifftop with stunning views and access via a private lift to the beautiful little swimming beach below. The homegrown organic food is simple but delicious and prepared with loving care. The waiters, many of whom have worked here for decades, are all so accommodating, and it seemed that nothing was too much trouble for the staff generally. The unique story of the place, having been family-run from the start, and the day to day involvement of the owners, Ornella and Andrea, combine to make this an extremely special and nurturing place, which I cannot recommend highly enough. Hoping that this is just the first of many visits for me!

My daughter and her fiance were engaged on a trip to Italy and since then they dreamt of having their wedding there. We started doing our research and narrowed it down to 2-places to visit and make a decision.

We had a great welcome on the first one and it was beautiful but when we arrived at Hotel San Michele we were impressed by the beauty of the place, the sea views, the surrounding hills, the uniqueness of the hotel rooms each with their own style. We were even more impressed by the owner Ornella. Her hosting skills are unbelievable. It was already February and my daughter wanted the wedding on October 18th. Needless to say, that could have never been possible without Ornella and her staff. She kept in contact with us during the entire process, took care of all the details.

We arrived 2-days before the wedding and most of the guests were there so we had a delicious dinner in one of the hotel restaurants. Next day, the guests were taken for a tour around the property as they grow their own fruits and vegetables as well as producing their own wine. They went down the elevator to the beach and enjoyed the experience. In the evening, we had the rehearsal dinner with all the guests. We had oven wood pizza and a meat dinner and we got so many compliments on the food and the beauty of the music the pianist played. It was a beautiful relaxing moment for all of us.

Next the wedding day. Nothing felt short of perfect. From transportation to and from church, the food, the drinks. Ornella was everywhere taking care of every detail (even my 92-year old father). The staff was skillful, welcoming and so professional. The maids waited for my daughter to get out of her room and blessed her on her way out with beautiful smiles on their faces.

We should have written several reviews during this process as the quality of service, warm welcome and willingness to help were above and beyond our expectations.

Thank you Ornella and her family for making my daughter’s wedding an unforgettable one. Thank you to all the Hotel San Michele staff who always greet us with a warm smile and willingness to make our stay a beautiful experience.

I am so looking forward to come back and enjoy the beauty of Hotel San Michele.

We celebrated the wedding at San Michele, an event that was successful better than anyone could have imagined! Postcard location, aperitif on the terrace at sunset and dinner by the pool, fresh and delicious local dishes, fairytale wedding cake! Thanks to Mrs. Ornella for patiently following us in organizing the party and to all her staff for their professionalism!

We got married in this stunning and beautiful location. For our wedding our family and friends stayed at the hotel and everyone was so excited and impressed. The soul of this historical and really unique place - you just feel the magic once you get inside. It’s so special and one of a kind. The Mediterranean surrounding, the panoramic sea views and the great service made our wedding really the best day ever. The owners and the hole stuff made sure that everything was how we wanted and were always carrying and attentive with us and our guests. The quality of the food and drinks is the best that southern Italy has to offer. Also the suite was perfect: charming elegant and with a breathtaking view.
Thank you for such a great experience!

We chose to celebrate our wedding at San Michele and we couldn't have made a better choice! We immediately fell in love with the dream location, with the owner Ornella who is very sweet and kind and with all her staff who stand out for their professionalism and availability (with a special mention for the maitre Gianfranco who is super!)...not to mention the food that is delicious! We truly lived a fairy tale! We recommend it to everyone

We celebrated our little girl's baptism in this splendid villa. The location is amazing and the view of the sea is breathtaking. Mrs. Ornella is a true professional, she guided us in choosing the menu, the cake, the decorations and fulfilled all our requests. Our guests greatly appreciated the quality of the dishes and the professionalism of all the staff. The descent to the beach with the private lift was the icing on the cake. The party for our little Stefania was truly fantastic, far beyond our expectations... We will return in the next few weeks for a relaxing family holiday.
Thank you all, Spizzirri Family

We stayed here for 5 nights. We went for a wedding and I will say I will visit again on my own or with my family.

I'll start out by saying this hotel is beautiful with such unique vintage Italian style. Barely any signal around the town but the hotel has great wifi. For us it was totally ok with because we just disconnected from the world while we were there. It was very relaxing.
The food is fresh and has quality in every dish.
The staff is exceptional and they went above and beyond for our family which was huge and not easy. We had a lot of kids with us and they were all friendly with the children and interacted with them as much as with us. Andre was my favorite staff member. He was always around and would help with anything and did it with a smile.
Ornella(the owner) was so accommodating they got us cribs in our room for our 5 month old twins and make sure we always had bottled water for their bottles, she is amazing with communication and such a positive friendly woman. We emailed back and forth for months prior and she was always so detail oriented and treated us like family. Their goal for their hotel is to live of the land and make sure all food is fresh and stays local from vendors. It's truly a beauty to see the outside grounds.
The beach restaurant was great with their private beach.
Overall if it had it available it would be a 15 star out of 5. It's something worth definitely visiting for a getaway from it all.

We stayed last week at San Michele, where in addition to enjoying a breathtaking view we noted the quality of services. Starting from the reception to the final greetings everything was perfect. The guys always with a smile and very kind; products of the highest quality collected on site (something increasingly unavailable) that combined with the skill of the chef lead to truly exquisite dishes. Note of merit for the courtesy, kindness and attention to the customer by Ornella, always present. Congratulations!!!

When we visited this hotel we drove from Florence but I think it is closer to Rome. The highway is narrow and "hilly" and (for me) I would prefer to drive it in the day time. I home that helps.
