We visited this lodge for 3 nights and I whished we could have stayed longer. The hospitality of this family is amazing! Our kids had the best time ever. Horseback riding, the lions, dogs, snakes, a lot of wildlife.... It was my third time here and it will definately not be the last. Esther The Netherlands

We were traveling with Smartours and were given the opportunity to do the Lion Walk as an optional tour. It was a fantastic experience. We loved interacting with the Lions on the walks and feeding the young ones. Also loved holding the 2 week old serval! By far the highlight of our 2 week trip to South Africa. We would highly recommend to anyone who loves animals and wants to have a unique experience and meet wonderful people like the MacRae's!

I can't emphasize how cool this experience is. We visited them to walk with the lions and it was a great time. It's so cool to go for a hike with lions walking around you, playing with each other and chasing each other. And the baby cubs were from out of this world. I hope we can come back to South Africa, in which case we're definitely spending a few days with them to repeat the lion walk and ride horses.

If you do one thing in SA this should be it. I had never been on a horse in my (long) life and the MacRaes made it so easy. Brandon must be the most patient person on earth. It was great to see the wild animals at such close quarters - they just see the horse , not you so you get right beside them - no more photos of animals retreating from a landrover! The accommodation is great you are lulled to sleep by the lions chatting to each other and wake up to the giraffes grazing quietly outside the window. The hospitality from the whole family was very warm and not just because I am a Fraser - Colin had an old book of Scottish clan history showing a special relationship between our 2 clans over the centuries. Would thoroughly recommend for all ages and you must do the walk with the

I am a South African currently living in the UK, and when I went back home recently I visited Horseback Africa with my partner who had been there before a few years ago. As soon as we arrived I was struck by the genuine hospitality and friendliness offered by Colin and his family. They really welcomed us as though we were friends. That kind of personal care is so rare and it made our stay there so special. The horses were all so well looked after and they were superbly behaved on our ride out that even the smallest member of the group whose feet barely cleared the saddle did not have a worry in the world while riding out among the zebra and wildebeest. Brandon was a superb guide and so passionate about the land and the animals that the enthusiasm was contagious and I had to
