I was hoping to find a very well run family hotel and the Buntali and the staff more than delivered. The decor is fresh and clean and the bedrooms are spacious.
The food was varied and of a high quality. Particularly enjoyed the Gala dinnder on Friday. The Wellness centre is of a good size and has two saunas , a steam room, an infra red room and a relaxation area.
The reviews for this hotel are overwhelmingly positive and it's easy to know why.
Sabine was the most attentive hotel owner I have witnessed in a long time.

Thank you for helping to make a great holiday.

Just completing our week long skiing holiday at this wonderful hotel. It’s a smallish, friendly, well-run hotel with nice size bedrooms and very comfortable accommodation. The spacious dining room has nice views and the food is really excellent - tasty, varied, well presented and substantial. Wine list is better value than many similar places too. This is our first visit here, but we hope to return as the skiing is so varied in Galtur, Ischgl and even Kappl. A great choice of 4 star hotel, particularly for couples wanting excellent quality, but without expensive bells and whistles.

We picked this hotel via the Inghams brochure mainly because of the fantastic reviews it got and the very competitive price and what a good choice it was.
The hotel is small, about 25 rooms I would think and run by Christian and Sabine who are brilliant and informative owners, they speak perfect English if your Austrian is rusty.
The hotel is absolutely spotless all the time and the 5 course evening meals are wonderful, varied and with a local Tyrolean feel to them. You pick your main course the previous evening from a choice of 3. Our 14 year old ate everything that was put in front of her and she can be fussy at times.
The hotel has a wellness centre, sauna etc but no pool although you can use the civic pool free of charge with the free resort card.
We stayed in room 612, second floor facing south with a balcony overlooking the gardens and those wonderful mountains all within touching distance.
The room had a king size bed with a proper sofa bed for the daughter which she said was comfy, TV, fridge, separate toilet and bathroom with bath/shower and double washbasin. If you need the towels and linen can be changed everyday.
There is also free WiFi but the walks and mountains are better and real.
You also get a Silveretta Card which allows free and unlimited use of all the cable cars, buses in the valley and entry to the public amenities, you will get this when you book in. It's a real bonus and can save £100's over the week. We went to Ischgl and over into Switzerland for the day via cable car, it would have cost £31 each but its free with the card.
The buses are frequent but it's best to walk the short distance to the bus stop prior to the main one in the village centre as they get busy and the continentals don't get the orderly queue thing very well.
The village itself is quiet with one small supermarket, outdoor clothing shops and not much else, there is no real nightlife apart from a few bars although after walking on the numerous well sign-posted long walks nightlife will be the last thing you need.
Galtur is the last village in the valley and the smallest but probably the least commercialised and long may it stay that way.
Overall the holiday was great, weather kind, the hotel was above expectation, the owners and attentive staff were all you could ask for and more, the food was excellent and so were the free daily packed lunches (although repetitive), we would recommend it and would definitely go back again.

A very lovely hotel with the host family being extraordinarly helpful and involved with the day to day running. Our room was probably one of the largest we have experienced, with too much cupboard space (!) more than enough hangers (unusual), very good beds, linen, pillows, etc etc.
The food was excellent and the spa a delight.
Our only minor issue was that the curtains were quite thin, so I was woken by the light each morning.
Thank Susan S
