This place has the best self catering cottages ever! the rooms are luxurious with lovely personal touches such as knee blankets, electric blankets, air conditioner and all the kitchen comforts you would have in your own home. A jacuzzi and swimming pool on site. lovely garden environment. close to all popular restuarants, malls, wine estates and of course, Table Mountain. Owners are friendly, professional and willing to assist with all requests. I would definitely recommend Evvi and her Pelican Place!

We stayed for almost a month on a business trip and the cottage was very convenient. Self catering kitchen with everything we needed. The owners were very accommodating and even changed the beds to suit our needs as well as moved a table for us to use as a work space.

I felt very comfortable when I walked in as the Owners are awesome people that are there to help you as much as they can. The room I stayed in (not sure the number, but was in front) was like staying in my own 1 bedroom flat. I had a lounge, kitchen and everything was there for to use. This means I could buy some food and bring it back and feel like I am eating at home. If I want to be picky, the only issue was the TV and channels. There is a vast range and there is also no sport channels. I suggest that they get a decoder for each room as other B&B's do. Other than that, I was very happy.

We stayed in the room across from the pool and generally it was quite decent. The furnishings are fine, but the layout could be improved. The double bed is up against the wall on one side which is not great for a couple to get in and out of. The table is really too large for the room. And the windows and doors are only one side which means there is no air flow to help with cooling on hot summer days. That said, all in all, it was a relaxing place to stay. The owners are also very relaxed and approachable. So if you are in Durbanville, you should consider Pelican Place.
