My colleagues and I used Evertsdal's conference facilities for two days to work and brainstorm together, as we were unable to go to our offices at Stellenbosch University's medical school due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The facilities were absolutely perfect for our needs and Janet took such great care of us - all while still maintaining social distance and the requisite hygiene precautions. Her attention to detail, combined with the delicious snacks and meals she served us, made for such comforting reminders of 'normal', while discreetly placed sanitation stations throughout the property assured us that the 'new normal' was also well taken care of and adhered to. Evertsdal Guest House is located in a secure area with a tranquil feeling on arrival. Staff were friendly and helpful. Guest rooms are clean and spacious. Lovely setting. Would definitely recommend for a breakaway.

I have been staying at Evertsdal Guesthouse a number of times and also ran workshops at the venue. This is most definitely one of the top venues to stay as well as having your workshops or company meetings. Not only is the rooms classy and clean - very good standard that is constantly maintained under the constant and careful eye of the owner - the conference facilities are of an equally high standard. What struck me was that after rooms are made up, a controller/supervisor, will go through a checklist to ensure everything is as it should be - meaning that when you get to your room, everything is back where it was before. The property is carefully maintained, gardens lush and green and just clearly a place where quality is prime. The staff is overall friendly and helpful and prepared to go the extra mile. This is a hands down 5 star venue that is a strong recommend not only for staying over, but also as conference venue.

The rooms were immaculately clean and very well serviced. Our reception was professional and friendly and all our needs were catered for during our stay. We arranged room service breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by a scrumptious meal. The Guesthouse is situated in well kept gardens with a tranquil and serene atmosphere. Evertsdal Guest House catered very well for our need of privacy and relaxation.

Upon my arrival at the guesthouse, I was met by the friendly receptionist, my temperature taken and then shown around the property. I was shown the meticulously decorated rooms all having stunning views of the manicured gardens, and I chose a stunning room with lovely natural light, any photographer's dream.
All my clients were pleasantly surprised at how how serene the property was, and everyone felt relaxed and stunnings shoots were had by all!
I would definitely recommend Evertsdal to any future guest or photographer alike!

We had the pleasure of staying at the guesthouse, in Kendall road. Location is excellent for sight-seeing around Durbanville. I am extremely security conscious and felt very safe here. When booking, I thought the various houses were all on one property, when in fact they are all on the same block, but with their own sun entrances. The family room we had was on the first floor with a king size bed, and a double bed opposite it, with two comfortable chairs to chill and watch tv.
There are limited channels and decent internet. There was a sliding door leading to a large patio which gets amazing sunshine. The guesthouse is absolutely fresh and spotless. There is a small fridge with bottles of water on offer for R15 a bottle. There is also plenty tea and coffee. There is a lovely lounge area downstairs with a fireplace (which we were not sure whether we could light or not).
We didn’t use the restaurant or pool area so cannot comment on those, but both looked lovely. Our aircon was a little noisy and the pillows are too soft for us, which is fine because we take our own pillows. The reservation team are so helpful and responsive. Check in and check out was quick and easy.
A special note to the cleaning ladies during our stay, they were exceptional and so friendly. We were fortunate to stay when the guesthouse didn’t seem too busy, so we were lucky it was nice and quiet. We will definitely stay again.

What luxury and spoils in such an unsuspecting suburb! When booking in the night before my wedding, the team at Evertsdal was so accommodating throughout our stay at The Residence. They ensured we were comfortable, kept us happily fed with delicious platters and bubbly to calm the nerves, and we're attentive every step of the way even when the bride kept changing things up. Upon our return on the wedding night, my new husband and I were absolutely spoilt with a freshly tidied room, rose petals, and bubbly. The breakfasts included in our stay was just the special touch needed in the mornings with a stunning view over the pools on a warm summer's morning before continuing with our holiday. A massive thank you to Yolande and team. Hubby and I will definitely be back!

Few places remain with us, even after leaving. Evertsdal is definitely one of them. Me and my spouse had the most romantic getaway at this beautiful haven. From the moment we booked our stay, we were met with nothing but exceptional service - the staff here truly does go the extra mile to accommodate their guests. The place itself looks even better than the pictures, the housing unit we were staying at was stunningly decorated and had a fully equipped lounge and kitchen, a fantastic setup for bigger groups of people. Our double room was as cute and cozy as it can get - and exceptionally clean! All the equipment looked new and was in working order, so we were able to heat up the space (it was winter) within minutes. The intentionality in making their guest stay outstanding shows in little details, such as candles and matches next to the bath. A tasty breakfast was just the cherry on top of our overall perfect stay. This is a 5-star experience regardless of the room you book. 11 out of 10!

We have been using Everstdal Guesthouse has our meeting and conference venue throughout the year, and won’t dream of going anywhere else. The Evertsdal Guesthouse is an elegant and comfortable enclave of multiple guesthouses, each with it’s own unique character and charm. The beds and linens are comfortable and upscale, the rooms and lounge areas are tastefully decorated, and there are many thoughtful details that make your stay quite enjoyable. We liked the complimentary nightcap decanters of sherry, the fresh coffee and tea available in each lounge, spacious shower stalls, air conditioning, and the beautifully landscaped pool areas. All rooms and common areas are spotlessly clean. The staff is professional and attentive. Also, make sure to enjoy the excellent breakfast.
