Cape Pillars is a simply stunning hotel. Our room was exceptionally large, even by South African standards and had everything you could wish for. The was even a proper hairdryer right at the dresser with a large mirror.

Wifi signal was strong everywhere in the room and the rest of the hotel, and the internet speed was well above average. The cellular reception at the hotel was also excellent. So business and leisure travelers will have no problems staying connected.

The hotel has a beautiful lounge where you can relax or work. You don’t have to stay in your room the whole time.

Access to the various areas of the Western Cape is easy with main connecting roads to the highways. There is a golf course nearby for the golfers. Durbanville itself is a beautiful town with everything you need, but just in case you are very close to two large shopping centers.

The Host hosts are stupendous and nothing is too much to do for their guests. The communal dining table is great to meet other travelers, but we also has the option of a table to ourselves. We only had breakfast, which was define but other meals are available on request we hear.

Parking is secure and readily available.

Whether you are a business traveler or on a holiday break, you will be hard pressed to find a better boutique hotel.

The whole experience from start to finish had a WOW factor. Anja, the Manager went out of her way to make the booking process quick and efficient, and made sure that our elderly parents were well looked after. The guest house is prestige and has a lovely feel to it. The owner, Monica and her daughter, Heidi really went the extra mile to ensure they are comfortable. The room was light and walked out oto a lovely garden and swimming pool area, with quality linen, a beautiful well equipped kitchenette which made it possible for our parents to cater for themselves whenever they needed to. Dinners and breakfasts are also available on request. The guesthouse itself is beautifully decorated and very cosy.
Thank you Cape Pillars for being a pillar of strength when we needed a special place for our parents to stay.

Room, immentities, staff and location excellent
They should install a back-up generator, or solar sytem or inverter. We were attending a family wedding and could not use any electronic devices, ie hairdryers. Only 1 bag of Ceylon tea in a room for 2 people.

Thank you so much for the lovely review! We at Cape Pillars are grateful that you had an overall positive experience. We do have a UPS system as backup but unfortunately you cannot plug anything with an element into a UPS. Previously we also had a generator, needless to say that the noise level and diesel fumes was not worth the while. We are saving up for an Inverter& solar system as we speak! With 3-phase electricity the cost is astronomical. Regarding the one teabag, I think Murphy's law crept in ;-) . Kind Regards The Cape Pillars Team

Very welcoming staff;
Spacious and comfortable rooms;
Nice breakfast;
Superb pool.
We enjoyed our 4-day stay at this lodge, which is well-located on the wine route and not too far from Cape Town. The lodge was busy with other customers but very quiet all the same.

An excellent venue for a small conference.

Fantastic rooms, great food (if anything, to much food as it just kept coming...); and most importantly very helpful staff who were very accommodating to our needs.

Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

Rita and her team have an oiled machine when it comes to service. They take good care from the time you make an inquiry to when they wave you goodbye. Their food was of an exceptional quality. The venue is truly a tranquil gem in the Northern suburbs.
