The reception area is very unprofessional. It's like checking into a backyard joint. Follow the arrow to reception. The paper printed arrow. No security when we checked in at the gate. The hallway to our room was super dirty. The water pressure in the shower is low.. sorry actually it's non existent!!!! The rooms very noisy due to an conference event. We left at 06h00.. no Reception staff on duty. Definitely not worth paying of R1200 per night for accommodation only. They can really refund us for this stay.
Peaceful, clean and comfortable. Good area, beautiful place with huge garden. But service is crap. Asked for a breakfast box, but reception said they would ask breakfast staff to open 15min earlier than usual. Guess what… no communication, and me and my guest for early morning meeting had to leave hungry. Felt so humiliated.
We stayed in the Rustlamere hotel several times. I understand that the owner passed away and that the hotel suffered a fire. With the Covid lockdown it must have suffered difficulties. Having said that, it is still advertised as a 4-star hotel. Which it definitely is not. The rooms are clean. But there is no bar fridge as advertised and even after asking several times, we received nothing but excuses such as “the guy who works with that is not here”. The hairdryer was broken. Reception was permanently empty and one was lucky to get somebody to answer the telephone. The restaurant, operating from a shipping container almost a year after the fire, was extremely expensive and the food of the lowest standard possible. Made without a care, sandwiches without butter, malfa pudding taken from the freezer and put into the microwave was burned and tangy. The staff was friendly enough but few and far between. The Rustlamere Hotel used to be very good. At the moment I would not recommend it. It should do as a 2-star hotel judging by its service. The restaurant is a no-go.…
wow...the service and accommodation was just amazing. I didn't make it to the pool or spa so i will definitely have to go back. Wish i had booked for longer. Everyone is so friendly and smiling and the exemplary service from Nelson completely blew me away, what a absolute gem.
We had another great stay in Ruslamere this January. A quick 30mins from the the airport. Great staff and delicious breakfast every morning. They have generators installed to combat load shedding hours. Definitely a plus during summer, so that we could run the air conditioning while the electricity was off
Very good in fact excellent accommodation despite the fire they had there but didn’t mention when booking. Had reasons to stay here and were not disappointed. Why they need 200 characters minimum beats me.
I enjoyed my stay with Ruslamere very much. The rooms are clean and neat with everything i needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service is excellent. Ruslamere is also centrally located near restaurants and shops.
I like the place, very calming, relaxing, the food excellent and the rooms very neat and welcoming. I will recommend this place to my family and friends if we around in Cape town. The service was excellent too even the boardroom. It was my first time in this place what and outstanding place. Well done keep the standard.
If you can avoid this venue do so by all means. It will take too long to list and explain all the issues. Where they bought there 4 stars I don’t know, but one thing is for sure they didn’t earned them. Still waiting for my drinks order and I am back in JHB already.....
Nice place. You can get a massage, accommodation and there’s a restaurant on site. The staff is friendly. Rooms are a bit small. Lovely pool area. Child friendly. Meeting areas are nice. The snacks they serve are also not too bad.
