Hotel was recommended to us. Wonderful room which was clean & spacious. Staff were attentive & helpful. Food was wonderful. Felt very comfortable staying at Lairds Lodge. Superb gardens - good sized pool. Plenty of parking. Very quiet - good nights sleep. Great location - 8km Plettenburg Bay & 20km Knysna. Harkerville Saturday market worth a visit - just down the N2.

Lovely characterful property. Great location. Very enjoyable stay. Friendly helpful staff. Terrific food. Cooking to an exceptional standard at very reasonable prices. Boiled eggs cooked exactly as requested! Very nice pool and outside seating area to enjoy delicious Cape Fynbos G&T! Knysna elephant park immediately opposite the property access road (come this way rather than via Plettenberg Bay’s Airport Road)

Lairds Lodge Country Estate should not be confused with Lairds Lodge in Plettenberg. We had two wonderful nights at Lairds Lodge Country Estate, which is located about 10km from centre of Plettenberg Bay close to the Elephant Park. The lodge has wonderful feel of walking into someone’s home as invited guests and the staff are well trained in delighting their customers, which is a credit to Liz as one of the co-owners of the business. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable with little welcome treats awaiting for new guests. There are two swimming pools which are welcome treats on hot days. The bar is well stocked with local and international drinks. Breakfast is a good start of the day with choice of hot or continental served by cheerful staff. Whilst dinner menu is changed daily by long standing chef, Bee Bee and the menu is limited in choice, the cooking and presentation of dishes are a joy to eat. We’re happy to recommend Lairds Lodge Country Estate as one of your stays along the Garden Route.

Dinner at Lairds is a MUST. We have been staying at Lairds for many years now. The property has been like our home. The Staff the food are the best we have experienced anywhere. The owners work tirelessly to see that their guests are happy. It’s a very very smart hotel and yet very comfortable. What more could you want.

Lairds Lodge Country Estate is now my most favourite place I have ever stayed at in the whole world. We loved it so much we decided to book in for another night. Everything about Lairds is wonderful, the service, the grounds, the rooms and the food is absolutely 5 star. I feel so lucky to have stayed at Lairds.

We were the only guests at Lairds Lodge during our stay and we were treated like royalty. The staff were amazing, always there to help but never intrusive. A special mention to Eddie and Bani, two absolute gentlemen that we really got to know during our stay. They couldn’t do enough for us and we were so grateful to them. We had a meal included in our stay; we had a beautiful meal in the cellar, what an experience. The food was tailored to our request, but the standard was amazing. The rooms were big and spacious and so clean. The surrounding gardens were beautiful and so well kept. We loved the duck collection. On our last night Bani provided us with a lift to and from a local restaurant so we could all have a drink, a lovely perk of our stay. Overall couldn’t recommend Lairds Lodge enough, the staff go above and beyond for the guests.

The absolute best honeymoon experience here at Lairds Lodge. We were truly made to feel like royalty the four nights that we spent here were incredible. The lodge is stunning, peaceful and simply perfect. The food was out of this world (compliments to the extremely talented chef!), and without a doubt the nicest we have tasted, with the service being even better! Such a lovely dining arrangement for both breakfast and even meals! Bani in particular, but the whole team looked after us Morning, Day & Night, ensuring that we were having the loveliest time possible and catering to our every need! This really is a Gem of a place, in the most beautiful country in the world! Was honestly the best stay of our lives. Thank you Bani for looking after us at all hours, and even accomodating our 3am leaving time, ensuring we got out nice and safely and with a lovely packed breakfast for the road on our way to Port Elizabeth Airport to continue our Journey! We look forward to joining again in the future, and until then, take care! We envy those who got to and will experience this lovely lodge for even longer! Thank you. Bradley & Rebekah. June 2nd - June 6th 2023.

Wow what can I say about this beautiful lodge that will do it justice. My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights towards the end of March 2023. It’s is absolutely stunning, set in wonderful manicured grounds. The staff are superb, nothing is too much trouble, the chef is fantastic. The breakfast was freshly cooked to choice and there was an abundance of delicious cold foods, fruit, yogurt, cereals, cheeses and freshly baked pastries. The 3 course dinners were some of the best I’ve ever tasted and extremely well priced. I loved it there and would go back. It has a lovely pool and comfortable sun beds. I can not praise Lairds Lodge highly enough. It is very close to Plettenberg Bay where there is a beautiful beach. We wished we were staying longer.
