This was our second visit to Harkerille Forest Lodge and it was just as great as our first. The staff are wonderful - friendly, helpful and made our stay a memorable one. The facilities, rooms etc are clean and tidy. It is a truely beautiful environment that contributes to a relaxing and restful holiday.

The log cabin, pool and outdoor area was clean and very neat.
The staff and owners friendly and helpful and the cabin was serviced daily.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay, our kids could run around on the beautiful lawn and play in the park while hubby was braaing on the deck.

The only suggestion I have is perhaps a bigger working space in the kitchen.

The chalet is well situated in a corner of the property, close to the forest. It is well-appointed - a nice touch are the items of stinkwood furniture. The chalet was clean and regularly serviced - a very pleasant stay all round.

One of the best managed places I have been. We camped and it was quiet peaceful and we'll maintained. Will certainly return again. Thanks to Siegie who assisted us when we arrived just before midnight. I rate them as the best.

Was nice to stay there, just i think they can upgrade the safety, especially at the bar entrace by the stairs, also the way white campers treats colourd campers with disrespect and thinks the place is only for them.

The whole area is secure and safe. Great grassed sites with some shade, electricity and braai facilities. Sites and bins cleaned daily. Good amenities, pool, lapa braai area, small shop / bar / games room. Plenty of space for the kids to play.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions. I have always felt welcome and have always enjoyed my stay. The rooms are clean and grounds have are clean and tidy. At breakfast you can sit and overlook the koi pond, and listen to the birds in the surrounding forests. Situated between Knysna and Plett, it makes a perfect base point.

Words do no justice in trying to describe the five truly wonderful nights my wife, Amanda and I spent at Harkerville Forest Lodge.

We were treated with kindness and respect from the moment I pushed the intercom button on our Monday evening arrival, up until our departure on Saturday morning.

We stayed in a fully equipped, exceptionally clean and very comfortable log cabin - complete with DSTV - which may have come in handy had the weather been bad!

A tasty, full English breakfast was especially prepared for us daily by either Cindy or Joyce - two very special and humble ladies.

Harkerville Guest Lodge is conveniently situated between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, making it the ideal base for day trip excursions.

A number of primary school children arrived on Tuesday. The laughter permeating the evening air was music to our ears! There are few thing's in life as heart-warming as the sound of spontaneous laughter by happy and well behaved children!

There are many establishments that falsely claim: "Arrive as a stranger - leave as a friend!!"

Amanda and I can vouch that you do indeed arrive at Harkerville Forest Lodge as strangers, but we guarantee that within 5 minutes, you are treated as old friends!!

We offer our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the following people - each of whom have the uncanny gift of making their guests feel welcome and special:

Bennett and Anette Van Rensburg

Siekie Van Rensburg

Elna and Johan Mong

Cindy and Joyce

Thank you Bennett and Anette - for sharing your piece of Paradise with us.

We pray our God will continue to Bless you both, your family and your employees.

We'll be back!!!

Kind regards and God's richest Blessings.

Steven and Amanda

My wife and I camped with our caravan at Harkersville from 17 Dec 2012 till 03 Jan 2013. This was a very joyous time that we spend there. The campsite was very large and we could the Jurgens Classique with full tent and rally with ease on the site. There is a lot of space with no feeling of over crowdness. The ablutions is kept clean with lots of hot water due to a gas heater system.

We were greeted at our time of arrival with friendly open arms and treated as old friends throughout our stay. A great place to camp with forest all around you. Harkersville will surely see me again in the future.
