Nambiti Hills was advertised as a 5 star lodge when we booked. They displayed the TGCSA’s 5 star logo on their website. Within hours at the lodge I knew they couldn’t possibly hold this grading. I later learnt that their last grading was in 2022 and that they therefore weren’t a 5 star lodge at the time of our stay. False advertising and it definitely showed in a few aspects. Rooms were tired and in need of an upgrade. The water smelt so bad that tking a shower was a challenge. The ranger had a terrible attitude, service was slow. Food wasn’t bad and most probably the best aspect of our stay although definitely not at 5 star level. Give this one a miss. I think many of the great reviews are from ppl who have never been to a lodge and have nothing to compare it with

Our stay was incredible! The staff were extremely accommodating and very friendly. The game drives were exceptional - got to view everything we wanted to see, our ranger, Biggie, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We even managed to witness a lion kill! The food at the lodge superseded all my expectations the chef truly is something special. The staff went out of their way to make our stay very special as it was our first wedding anniversary, including baking us an anniversary cake! Overall, it was the most perfect winter bush escape. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again, 5 star is an understatement.

We knew about the resort from local knowledge and particularly wanter to stay at the nambiti hills lodge. It did not disappoint. Absolutely stunning place and the staff is lovely, sunny, friendly and loving their jobs. We had a great time, including fantastic sightings on our safaris. Saw everything we wanted to see. For us this has become a must-do experience in sa and will be recommending it. We are looking forward to returning there as well.

A truly wonderful and memorable experience. We spent four nights here and all the staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our driver and guide for our stay was Lebo. He was delightful company and extremely knowledgeable about all the wildlife, including birds. He coped admirably with the bombardment of our questions and we will be forever grateful to him for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm. He helped us seeing an amazing range of wildlife during our eight drives. Our room was superb - comfortable and tastfully decorated. Thank you to the staff for their attention to detail, including putting down the mosquito nets and turning on the electric blanket at nights! Views of the wildlife from room brought the wider reserve closer to us. The catering was second to none - compliments to the chefs and their teams for feeding us so well, including the wonderful coffee with amarulu and home baked biscuits on the dawn drives and sundowners and nibbles on the evening drives. We were very impressed witht he philosophy of the reserve and its conservation credentials. Long may it continue to protect such a wonderful array of wildlife and their habitats.…

We booked nambiti hills because of the location and 5 star rating and we’re seriously underwhelmed. 5 star prices with 3 star service. From inattentive staff, run down rooms, a lack of any activities other than game drives, to no boma dinners we have experienced at other lodges. We had to ask for towels, drinks etc when at the pool and guests were clearing their own plates. They had a firepit area but never lit the fire in the 3 days we were there. The menu didn’t change at meal times All in all a very 2 dimensional experience. My advice is definitely don’t book for longer than 2 days. There was just nothing much on offer and a lack of variety in everything. We are at the same table in the same location for every meal and there were no game walks etc so we were quite bored especially not advisable to take children The game drives were good and the saving grace …

Beautiful views from the deck, very friendly staff, good service, nice food and lots of animals to see. What else can you wish for? :) The only thing for us is that the area is a bit crowded with other lodges. You don’t notice that at the lodge of course, but with game viewing there are sometimes a lot of other vehicles.

My hubby and I decided at the last minute to book into Nambiti Hills. They were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the get go. Spa treatment, was just that, a treat!!!! Food was beautifully presented and most delicious. It was very special to see lion devouring a zebra on one of our game drives. Highly recommend a visit for a night or two.

Our stay at Nambiti Hills was an unforgettable and wonderful experience. The games drives were fantastic , we got to see 4/5 Big Five. Our guide Siya made the experience fun and exciting as he took his time to track certain animals as well as educate us about animal behaviour and different species of plants. The food deserves a five star rating, everything we ate was delicious and we had plenty to eat throughout the day. The staff and manager were welcoming and friendly which added to the overall experience. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend Nambiti Hills to anyone wanting a five star safari experience.

The bathroom door locks need to be sorted as they were not closing. And the aircon needs to be upgraded as we could not change the temperature and the room got hot at night. Otherwise the stay was fantastic

We had a lovely stay at a Nambiti hills, the service and quality of everything was 7 star’s literally. Lebo our guide was so amazing he knew so much knowledge of the animals around the reserve and he took care of us. We got to spot such great sitings I would say it was Lebos luck. All the staff were just great and friendly nothing was too much to ask for, we felt so welcomed and appreciated by the entire team
