The welcome was warm, the hospitality superb and the simplicity a sublime luxury.

Our host, quirky William Wium met our every expectation, in fact surpassed them by sharing his endless expertise of this magical sanctuary with us.

Tranquility is key. Anniversary getaway never gets old. Romantic rooms, outside showers, beautiful game drives and delicious food. Chilly when the sun sets but during the day hot and amazing. Definitely not a place for to go with small kids.

Great accommodation to enjoy the game reserve. The rooms contained beautiful bed, jacuzzi bath toilet and his/hers sinks and outdoor shower (wonderful experience). There is tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided. Beautiful views from the veranda.

Amazing holiday, we had a guide (Beth) who went out of his way to ensure we found all the animals we were dying to see! He went above and beyond to accomodate for my grandmother who is in a wheelchair to make sure she had an amazing experience. We are truly impressed.

We privatised the lodge for all the guests following a wedding. So almost all rooms were occupied. This lodge is very nice but it’s nothing luxurious. Bedrooms furniture are very simple, bathroom’s equipment is not brand new and the food buffet is ok. Nothing special about it. Th

Hello, I would be planning to stay two nights with you. On my arrival afternoon would I be able to take a game drive that day as well as two on the full day of my stay. The previous nights accommodation is only 2 hours drive from you so this would be possible. Many thanks
Hi Susankt20 Thank you for your question. Yes, we offer all our guests an afternoon drive on the day of arrival if they plan to arrive before the afternoon drive departs and then a morning drive and an afternoon drive for the full day spent with us and then also on the morning of departure you are more than welcome to have a morning drive should you not wish to check out early.

Hi, What would be the best way to travel to Springbok lodge as a large group (around 30 pax) from Cape Town? Can you fly to Ladysmith? Thanks, Liz
Hi your best bet is to fly Capetown to Durban as the price is quite a bit more to Pietermarizberg also its a small airport and small planes can be accommodated. With Durban you have more flights and more choices of airlines . There are also a lot more car hire options in Durban to accommodate the amount of people. Pietermaritzberg is only 3/4 of an hour outside Durban.

Hello, I would like to know how big the swimming pool is. Is it more of a dip pool, more a shallow wading pool or a medium sized pool you could have a good swim in? Thanks for any feedback.
Good morning. The pool is more the kind that you can cool off in rather than actually swim in it. You won't do too many strokes before you reach the other side.
