We spent a wonderful 2 nights at De Linden Boutique Guest House, staying in the Protea Suite. Doret the manager looked after us so well - nothing was too much trouble for her and she was full of helpful advice. We had two early starts so she happily organised packed lunches for us (we sadly missed out on the breakfast which sounded amazing).

The Protea Suite is a large and comfortable room with a great balcony with views of the beach and sea. There were lovely touches in the room (such as artisan bicuits) making you feel so welcome. The suite is the only place in the guest house that has a/c but because of the design of the building, I'm not sure you would need it elsewhere. The communal lounge is pleasant and there is parking right outside of the guesthouse. The beach is a couple of minutes walk away as are many of Paternoster's restuarants. I would highly recommend De Linden as a place to stay if you are visiting the town.

Excellent stay at a top facility. Was an unbelievable start to our 1 year anniversary. The staff really went out of their way to ensure that we were made to feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. The location of the guest house is stunning and perfect for relaxing on the sundeck watching the sunset. Would recommend De linden boutique to anyone!!

De Linden was a great spot to get away and relax. In town, but just about 100m from the beach so well positioned. We had the whale room which was nice, had a lovely bath and a little courtyard (though we didn't use this). The bed was great!

Breakfast was included and was basic (fruit muesli, omlette, coffee and tea) but was still a nice touch.

I'd recommend De Linden in the future, great value for money

The rooms on the ground floor are next to the entrance door or have the doors to the lobby and to the reception. The entrance door was extremely noisy and the rooms had no noise blocking doors nor walls. After complaining the owner offered us to refund half of the money in case of cancellation. We did t accept and stayed the two booked nights. But was an annoying experience
The breakfast was ok.

Overall the experience was fine. Breakfast great and communal facilities also great. The room we eventually stayed in was fine although no coffee sachets but plenty of tea. For any privacy one has to close all the curtains as these windows look out directly on to other homes - close by. My issue is that the picture of the room that I booked on Booking.com was not the room that was given to me. I purposefully called the establishment before booking to confirm which room this was. I was told there is only one room with a patio and it was upstairs - which linked to the picture on Booking.com. On arrival we were shown a room on the ground floor, with no view and no privacy. I called the owner Doret Linde to complain about this and have yet to receive the courtesy of a call back.

A very tastefully decorated guest house well positioned, close to the beach. The room allocated wasn't the room I thought I was getting. I phoned in before I booked and asked for an upstairs room, on arrival was surprised it was downstairs and could not change as it was fully booked. They should put the names of their rooms next to description on booking.com that way there will be no confusion.
Lovely breakfast.Nice upstairs area with seating and vistas of the sea.
Good value for money.

We had a fantastic time at De Linden. Our room was modern, clean and beautifully furnished. It is walking distance from the beach and many restaurants. Lovely, fresh bathrooms. The breakfast was excellent, although there was a long delay for the cooked dishes. The pastries on offer were some of the best we've tasted! There was however no fan or airconditioner in our room, which we found strange given the cost of the rooms. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.

The house is beautiful with a lovely stoep to sit and relax.

However we had a very stiff reception. We could smell the lovely coffee, but when someone asked if we may have a cup, the answer was no. We would have paid for it...

The rooms are tidy and clean, but the quest house must replace the towels and look at getting a new matrass.

Breakfast was delicious! We enjoyed our stay there.
