Detailed Reviews
Loved staying at Roosmarijn Guest house, the room was clean, spacious and had lovely fire place (which they replenished with wood every day). We stayed in room 205 and that has a slight view of the beach - which is great in the morning or for sundowners in the afternoon. We had the experience to obtain vouchers for breakfast which allowed us to try some really cute restaurants

Quiet location virtually on the beach and with private parking. Good size room and shower room with private terrace, fridge and drinks facilities plus a very comfy bed. Short walk to most of restaurants and centre. Breakfast was provided at a local cafe that was a car ride but it was terrific food and excellent view so we were very happy to do it.
Excellent host.

A beautiful spot, moments from the beach, quiet and yet central enough to walk to restaurants and gift shops. The host was waiting for me to arrive; he was warm, friendly and highly hospitable. The room was exactly as advertised and perfect. Great suggestions for restaurants and things to do were given. Also, breakfast was good with a choice of eggs/meats/fruit and teas/coffee/juice and a chance to meet and chat to other visitors. A highly recommended B&B

perfect Guesthouse not far from beach. Newly renovated with spacious clean rooms and a super friendly host! I will definitely be back to enjoy strolls on the beach and eat great food in one of the many restaurants nearby. Thank you

The room was well appointed except for the tv /dstv that did not work and the view not really being a view.
The bedding and shower was superb and a real west coast ambiance was present.
Enjoyed the stay and the breakfast at Mondvol; impressed to see how busy they were.
Dinner at the Voorstrand rest was also a memorable experience.
Will be visiting Paternoster again for a weekend break.

Although a short stay of only one night we enjoyed our stay. Locations was good...parking provided. Room was cosy complete with woodburner. Tertius was very friendly and extremely helpful. We were provided with a voucher for breakfast at a lovely little cafe. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are large and very comfortable. Balcony with sea views. Fantastic breakfast made by the owner, Tertius, himself. Tertius makes you feel very much at home. Walking distance from some very nice restaurants.

Well received, clean and suitable rooms for adults. Close to beach. Good breakfast and good company. Owner understands his town and happy to engage in a discussion with all the guests. Hope to be back some day.

This was a new area of SA for us and in the middle of winter the town of Paternoster is very quiet.
On arrival we were taken to an adjacent building to the main B & B. This room was spacious, tidy with an adequately sized bathroom and shared balcony looking out towards the partially obscured sea; lovely place to watch the sun go down, even on a winter's day as we had. Breakfast was served in the main house and consisted of a fruit salad starter or cereal and then a cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausages and mushrooms. Very well cooked and plenty of it.
The business is very much a family concern with everyone doing a bit. They were happy to give information on the area regarding attractions and restaurants, although the latter were a little in short supply in Paternoster in mid-winter. A very good place and to be well recommended if you decide to make a trip up the west coast.
On going for a walk round the town we were greeted by a golden labrador, we discovered was called Jack. He followed us on our walk, even sitting down beside us in the pub before following us all the way back to the guest house. He was so friendly and our hosts told us he is a well known character about the town and often adopts visitors.
