Ah Guesthouse is a small jem and it was so good to stay there again. The last time I was there, I was travelling with a good friend, this time I was there with my mother. We had an amazing two days here. Everything is just perfect about Ah Guesthouse. The rooms are very comfortable and cosy, the art all over the Guesthouse is great, and the deck on the upper floor is great for reading and enjoying great views. Breakfast is really good, and if you are lucky and book ahead, you can also enjoy a great dinner from "Masterchef" Arnold. Ah Guesthouse is just perfect, in a way I cant describe. I guess you have to go there yourself, to experience it, and to know what I am talking about. Everything about our stay was perfect. The location is great for exploring the west coast and you can walk to the beach from the guesthouse. Beautifully decorated rooms and lovely outdoor terrace to enjoy. The highlight has to be the dinner and breakfast cooked by Arnold! Sensational food and wonderful hospitality. I hope to one day be able to return!

The most phenomenal place to stay in Paternoster. Everything is perfect, the service is always excellent, absolute attention to detail. Famous for its breakfasts but if you are lucky and there is a gourmet dinner, worth the drive from Cape Town!

This is my second visit to Ah! - the first being about 7 years ago. I've been hoping to come back as this is my favorite B&B ever (after more than 50 countries). What makes this place special is mostly the care that Arnold and Annelise take to create a cozy, eclectic space that is both welcoming and laid back AND - the incredible food. Truly, it's worth coming here just for the food. Arnold's cooking is pretty much worth the flight to South Africa. No joke. I brought my mom, step-father and sister. Two in our group are pretty picky eaters and let's say, definitely not your gourmet food fans (my sister's idea of a good meal is a burger well-done to the point of being burnt to hockey puck consistency). They were all completely blown away by the food and finished every bite of food put in front of us. We haven't stopped talking about it since and every time we eat now we discuss how it's not "Arnold-worthy". :) Even apart from the swoon-worthy cooking, the location is adorable - Paternoster's beach is lovely, the town (especially this side) has a Greek island vibe and we were content to just relax and read in the cozy living room and up on the amazing roof deck. Make the trip to Paternoster just to come here. You won't regret it.…

We have been coming back to the ah! Guesthouse for years and always love every second of our stay. The hosts Arnold and Annalise are wonderful and make sure that your stay is always an exceptional one. A very special treat remains the dinner and breakfast which is comparable to dinners at top notch restaurants but then in a cozy and very relaxed atmosphere at a big table with a chance of meting interesting people. We will always return and certainly take the extra effort and travel for miles to make ah! our yearly stop when staying in South-Africa.

Overlooking the seashore and a seven mole beach to walk along what could be better for rest and relaxation. In addition the added bonus of a meal expertly cooked by Arnold you need not to look no further than this wonderful B&B. A laid back environment whilst at the same time meeting interesting people from all over the world makes this a unique experience.

We are affectionately known as reoffenders ie people who are revisiting. Why would you stay anywhere else in paternoster . The guest house has amazing rooms all very individual but we do have our favourite the ahhh room but that's our personal choice . The breakfasts are the the most amazing you will ever get and we should know as we are very well travelled .If you do get a chance do not miss Arnold and Annalise chefs table dinner an experience and meal that should be on everyone's bucket list. Paternoster has changed very slightly since we first started visiting but in a good way with several nice additions . We will be reoffending soon for our eight time !°

After overpaying for a guest house in Stellenbosch, this was a most welcome surprise to get MORE than what we paid for! The location is perfect: a short walk to the beach, parking right in front of the house and a quick and easy checkin. Our twin-bed (as requested) room was private, comfortable and wonderfully decorated! Quirky, eclectic design without veering into kitsch. And then, the breakfast! Most reviews rave about the breakfast, and it is really justified. Creative, a feast for the eyes and the taste buds - from now on, I will ALWAYS have ice cream for breakfast. The "long table" approach can sometimes be a challenge, but we got on well with our table neighbours and had a pleasant conversation while enjoying the wonderful breakfast and the really good coffee. I don't know when I will be back in Paternoster, but when I do get back, 1 Mosselbank will be my first choice!…

The guest house is beautifully and artfully decorated. Arnold and Annalise are welcoming, friendly and professional. The food served by Arnold is of a very high standard. He prepares most of it in front of his guests in their gorgeous kitchen. It is a true gourmet foodie experience which can be highly recommended!

Arnold and Annelise delighted our friends and us with an amazing multi course dinner. It will blow your mind. The variety on your taste buds was amazing.
