Yes, the hotel is a few years old, but we still had a nice long weekend.
The reception at the reception in the castle was friendly, competent and customer-oriented. There were keys, like in the old days. Two of the three room keys had a simple plastic tag with the room number.
We had all the rooms in the orangery. The rooms were OK, but more cleanliness would be appropriate, especially in the bathroom on the "hidden" corners of the toilet seat (down towards the basin). The furniture is old, but not worn. The walls could also do with a new coat of paint. We were told at reception when we left that the new owner was renovating the rooms while the hotel was still in operation.
The fly screen sliding door in one room was installed the wrong way round, but this was fixed immediately.
The wellness area is also fine. The sauna area is completely new. Great. The swimming pool is a good size, but there is an unpleasant smell on the stairs leading up to it. It's great to lie on the lawn in a bathrobe on a comfortable lounger and watch the promenade and the Müritz.
The breakfast buffet is appealing. There were small changes to the menu every day: egg salad one day, cheese salad the next day and salmon the next. Overall appealing. The staff were attentive, friendly and service-oriented. We noticed that there was no poultry sausage on the buffet. After asking briefly, we had a small, beautifully scented plate with three different types of poultry sausage on our table the next day.
Conclusion: we'll be back and hope that the rooms will be nice.

The house itself is beautiful. The staff are all friendly, polite and very helpful. (high praise) The breakfast in the orangery is perfect and leaves almost nothing to be desired. You can really unwind in the swimming pool and in the sauna area with 5 different saunas. Drinks and additional towels are provided for self-service.
I do have one criticism though... The room furnishings are worn although the room is clean. In our room the lower weather strip of the window was rotten and it was drafty when the wind was not favorable. They really should spend some money here.
Our conclusion: despite the adversities - a couple of wonderful days

We stayed from 27.12.24- 30.12.2024 in the castle hotel in Klink the room however was in the annex ( Orangery ) with parking view. We had a voucher for two nights from a third party because unfortunately there were no choices.
The room is rather disappointing, there was no minibar or at least a usable refrigerator. We also missed an electric kettle for tea or coffee or even a small coffee machine, which is now common in other hotels. The balcony was furnished to our delight. However, there was a lack of blankets to really still be able to sit outside. So it ended up serving only as a smoking island. The beds were too soft for us personally.
Breakfast and wellness area were good, however. Staff at breakfast were very attentive and friendly. The choice was more than sufficient and it was constantly being restocked.
When it is full, there is not enough rest or berths in the spa area. Unfortunately, the beach chairs still standing on the terrace cannot be used because the doors to the outdoor area were locked.
Drinks are provided by the pool and in the wellness area via complimentary water and tea at the entrance.
We had each booked a massage they were in very well equipped. premises have been carried out by specialist personnel. There was really nothing to complain about here.

On the day of our arrival and when we checked in, we were received by a young employee unfriendly and also not very helpful. There was no indication of opening hours of bars in the hotel or restaurants. It was only asked if we plan to dine at the hotel on the day of arrival. A catalogue was flipped unkindly on the counter with the hint that it contained everything that was going on here in the region. Here we at least missed a friendly request, how our journey was and whether you would need help with luggage or something similar.
We didn't eat at the hotel.
There is in Waren A recommended restaurant, the Klabautermann. Very nice there we ate on the first night. On the last evening we were also recommended in goods at the Nautilus funny restaurant, which resembles a submarine. On our second day we went to Warnemünde and spent the evening there.
Also to mention is Kells, a nice farmers market, very close to the hotel, 5 minutes walk. You get all kinds of souvenirs here. A complete menu of small snacks cakes and coffee as well as ice cream and of course fish rolls.
What else we noticed on departure. For parking, the hotel does not charge any fees although all guests arrive by car. That's very nice.
On the bill when paying, there is then a 7% energy surcharge, which is not mentioned before with any syllable. Surcharge is per room per night.

We had booked the tower suite, which could be reached by elevator. This was necessary because my husband is dependent on a walker. We were able to use the walker and elevator to reach both the swimming pool and the breakfast room in the Orangery through underground passageways. The swimming pool is beautiful with a view of the Müritz, and our suite was practical because we had a rainy morning and could make ourselves comfortable in "our" living room. We would book the tower suite again and again because it is extremely quiet and actually has 2 doors to the common hallway. In contrast to our spring hotel in Ahlbeck, the hotel is always ready to give guests the room they prefer (of course, the dates have to be coordinated).
The only drawback of this hotel is the pre-baked rolls at breakfast.

After we realized after our stay in December 2023 that this is a nice hotel, we were now disappointed. This time we did not book directly but through "Kurzurlaub.de". To say it in advance, the hotel was not fully booked. Nevertheless, we got a room that was in need of renovation and the furniture really belongs in the bulky waste! If I have rooms that are in this condition and I have other rooms in the same category available, then I will not give out such a room. The next day we were immediately given another room.

We are delighted with the house, the hotel service and the location. The ladies and gentleman at reception who we met there made our stay something really great. We were accommodated in a junior suite with a view of the lake and the view is wonderful. The house itself has a very special charm and is lovingly furnished in a fitting historical style. The spa area is a good size and the view from the lounger through the glass walls to the well-kept gardens and the Müritz is wonderfully relaxing. Breakfast had everything you could need. Unfortunately, we cannot say so good things about the à la carte restaurant that we went to on the last evening. The service needs a little tweaking, but my husband and I were given a drink on the house at the bar as a small apology. All in all, we left with a heavy heart and will be coming back often.

We stayed 2 nights over a December weekend. We were in the new wing in a dog-friendly large suite overlooking the lake, with a large balcony; it was a bit too cold to sit out on the balcony, but the view of the lake through the floor-to-ceiling sliding door windows was lovely. The decoration and furnishing of the suite is a bit dull and 80s, but there was masses of space, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom huge.
We had Gluhwein in front of the roaring fire in the old building served by the friendly waiter, and walked the dog along the lakeside path at sunset.
Dinner is served in the basement restaurant of the old building; the starter of prawns with fresh salad leaves was especially good! Breakfast is served in the atrium of the new wing, and the buffet is impressive, including a carvery and sparkling wine.
We spent our first day visiting the local bear sanctuary, the pretty town of Plau am See, and a Christmas market in Fleesensee. We had Gluhwein back on the hotel terrace overlooking the lake (lovely!), and ate in the American style diner run by the hotel in an adjacent building (massive portions!). We chose not to use the hotel spa and pool during our stay, preferring to explore the area.
On our last day we hired bicycles from the helpful reception staff at the hotel, and cycled along the lovely lakeside and countryside cycle path to Sietow-dorf and back. The dog loved it, and so did we! After another Gluhwein in front of the fire in the hotel, we headed back to Berlin.

I must admit that I had some kind of expectations, which perhaps were too highly set! Also because I had booked a Junior Suites.
The Hotel is divided in two parts, the castle and the Orangerie in which you find the Spa, the breakfast room and some other facilities.

The Spa facilities are ok, well kept, but nothing really special. To be underlined, the one staff in the Spa I met was very friendly. Excellent massage.

The Restaurant had a nice atmosphere, the food by all means was not good. Never mind Vegan food choices.
The breakfast for someone on a normal diet is great, fantastic choice!
Didn't understand what a Leberkaese does on a buffet in the east of Germany, but never mind.

If you are Vegan though you are stuck, apart from some pale tomatoes ( missing sunshine maybe) and bread with a vast choice of jam.
On my request for Soya milk I got a blank look and the suggestion for lactose free milk.........,(at least she gave it a try) baked beans or potatoes - no way, however, in the end we settled for a Porridge.
I must say that the coffee was excellent! The staff though was not very friendly and the table was never cleared.

At the Artus Keller I ordered Asparagus with potatoes - the potatoes did not seem fresh or in any case a very poor quality or re-heated.
Also the Fischerhus, was not really a positive culinary experience - but the waiter was friendly.

The so called Junior Suite was VERY dusty. I wrote a message on the mirror for the Housekeeper to clean it and informed Reception!
Things like this can happen, but that I did not get any form of apology is not acceptable!

The bill was not correct on checkout, I had to point that some items were missing.

What disturbed me also was that there was no assistance for luggage considering the entrance stairs - and obviously it was not pointed out that one can take a trolley on the lower floor, exit from a back door and use the elevator.
The staff in the smoking Bar were very well prepared and friendly.

They all seem small things, but combined it was a disappointment ! :(

My friend booked for our group through Bookling.com and included a request for the two rooms to have twin beds. The receptionist was not warm or friendly as we booked in and when my friend asked if the rooms had twin beds the receptionist became extremely angry and aggressive. There was no reason for her behaviour as we found both rooms had twin beds.

The rooms were spacious and clean with functional furniture.

Good location on the lake.

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and as with the rooms the food was simple and edible.

We went to the Schloss at short notice and expected to be oversold a small room with a mediocre view. We were amazed when we had this reasonably sized chamber with a spectacular view over the lake. We overall enjoyed our stay a lot but noticed that some parts of the hotel (notably the Orangerie) appeared more down-at-heel although they were sold at the same price point. Go for the castle if you can!
