We were hungry but we did not want fast food from a chain. I aw this place the lake house with quite a few cars parked around it for 3 in the afternoon we stopped it was right on the river and it was clean with such good aroma coming from the kitchen. I had the chicken fried steak a Texas favorite and it was great my wife had the shrimp and she loved it. Sweet tea like your Momma made it. Mashed potatoes and white gravy like ice cream and honey to a kid. Loved it We will be back for more.

I recently stayed at the Canim Lake Beach House with my boyfriend and it was an all around amazing stay. Lovely and clean accommodation with the comfiest bed ever and lots of pillows. Great bathroom with an awesome shower. Great little kitchen stocked with coffee and cream. Delicious breakfast in the morning and the owners were a joy to talk to :) Oh and they also have the most lovely and playful dog and you cannot beat the scenery. I would highly recommend this place to any friends or family. Wifi and satellite TV included!

The moment we arrived at the beach house, we knew we belonged there ... we where greeted by a gracious hosts. Our cabin was more than we exspected and very clean. The beds where comfy. The cabin is not right on the beach, however it is in a quiet location just a couple steps from the beach with it's own side yard. The beach and dock is perfect! and we really enjoyed the evening firepit :) The kid's loved Taya the host puppy and kayaks! I enjoyed the fresh goodies from Deb's garden! Even the neighbors were friendly and welcoming ..... we will be back! It was a perfect place for us :) Thanks Deb and Don!

We started looking for a place for the labour day long weekend only two days prior. I knew there was a small chance there would be any availabilities in our favorite vacation location "The Cariboo" and to my disappointment I was only able to find one place with which was advertised as rustic but ended up being the worst place/experience we've ever had it was borderline traumatizing! I frantically looked online for another place because I wasn't going to have it ruin our weekend. I found Canim Lake Beachhouse on Trip Advisor, the photos looked great and the only 1 review was good and it couldn't be worse then where we were! I crossed my fingers and called, Deb answered the phone and was incredibly friendly and to our relief and surprise had a cabin as well as two suites available, she booked us in right away and gave us directions. When we arrived we knew instantly it was a beautiful place with beautifully landscaped grounds tucked in a very quiet spot right on the water. They greeted us outside, gave us a tour of both the cabin and the suites. The suites are newly renovated with very modern interior decorations including hardwood floors and beautiful furniture it was nicer then some 5 star resorts I have stayed in. The doors opened up only 2' from the private beach. After the tour we made our way to the cabin, when we opened the door to the cabin we were pleasantly surprised! It was huge! Full living room complete with tv/satellite, dining room with wood burning stove, 2 bedrooms, full bath with a tub (excellent water pressure) and a huge kitchen with fridge/stove it was nicer then some of the homes I've lived in. After settling in we spent the day at the private beach and the night by the campfire, we had the full use of kayaks, canoes, motorboats, floating devices, beach games, firepit and beach chairs. Deb and Don (the hosts) were available at all times if we needed Anything and on the 2nd night joined us by the fire for s'mores. They told us we could just pay when we left on our last day which made us feel totally unrushed and as though they were happy to just have us there rather then it being about money. We were originally going to stay two days but stayed three and didn't want to leave! We will be back for our anniversary in November and are booking early for next Summer because we don't want to miss out on this new found "Gem" we cannot rave enough about the Canim Lake Beachhouse, I would recommend them for all your family vacations/reunions, Deb and Don are so incredibly friendly/accomidating and the suites/cabin are stunning and so well kept up, they truly do take pride in what they do and in their property. If you get an opportunity to stay with Deb and Don at Canim Lake you will leave with memories and a jar of homemade Jelly if your lucky ;) Angelica and Nicole Kelowna, BC

We stayed at the Canim Lake Beach House for one week and it was great. The cabin is very clean and has a spacious kitchen. All the kitchen utensils and dishes that you'd need are provided as well as the towels and bedding which was handy. Because we were there at the end of a unusually cool and wet June, we didn't spend much time on the deck but used the BBQ almost everyday. The wet weather did mean there were mosquitoes and flies but nothing we couldn't deter with a campfire and some bug repellent. We spent lots of time reading on the adirondack chairs on the beach and our son loved digging in the rocky sand. The canoe rental was very affordable and my husband spent lots of time on the lake, fly fishing. Lots of hikes and walks to waterfalls nearby. There's no cell service so don't plan on staying in touch with the office while you're here! We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin but the property also has two beautifully renovated suites to rent as well. We'll definitely go back.
