Lovely hotel. The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the bed was huge and sumptuous. The staff couldn’t do enough. The food is delicious, served in a romantic atmosphere. Loved the big comfy sofas with a choice of two log burners to relax by. We used the hot tub - nice chance to relax under the stars!

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff. Very dog friendly and all the staff were very accommodating for our 6 month old cockapoo which made our stay extra special. Thanks to Steph and her team who made my husband’s birthday weekend extra special. Thank you!

We came to the restaurant with our dog and we sat in the bar as thought would be easier when we booked for our dog. Our dog coco was the centre of attention and was loving every minute of it. Beautiful hotel and would come back to stay. The menu was small but the food was lovely and very reasonable portion sizes too.

My wife and I arrived on Monday 25th March initially for a three night stay, but found ourselves so relaxed and comfortable, and with so much to explore locally opted to add an additional night to our stay. The hotel itself is situated approx 6 miles out of Oban, has been lovingly renovated, and having stayed at its sister hotel skeabost on Skye, has the same relaxed and inviting feel whilst retaining the traditional Scottish Lodge Country Estate feel. Our newly renovated loch facing room was a delight. The massive bed was so comfy, and provided a fantastic night sleep each night. The bathroom was fresh, light and modern, with a massive walk in shower which was great. All staff made us feel at home were eager to engage and chat, and were always helpful when required. Overall a delightful and restful few days in bonnie Scotland. We will not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and stay here again in the future.

Recently stayed at the Knipoch for two nights. Price was really reasonable, caught the last of the off peak prices. The staff were 10/10, so attentive and helpful - happy and chatty which really set a nice tone for the place. Hotel is gorgeous, has just been fully refurbished and has been done to a really high standard throughout. We stayed with our dog who was given his own bed, bowls and included in breakfast each morning. The room was large, with a super king bed and a really appreciated dressing table which a lot of hotels forget to include. Bathroom was beautiful with a huge walk in shower and heated tiles. The view was amazing to wake up to each morning. Oban in easy reach five minutes drive away. The only pointers I could make are that a full length mirror in the room would be nice to have, and possibly more continental options at breakfast such as pastries, although the cooked breakfast was brilliant!

The whole place is lovely and clean, the double bed is a super king size, staff very friendly. Free car park, not far from the town centre, very convenient if you’re driving. Book your jacuzzi in advanced. highly recommended. Will come again!

Absolutely fantastic hotel six miles outside Oban- great location- lovely refurbished rooms and good in restaurant- whilst a little pricy - is superb. There was some work being done which we were unaware of- I will retain confidence in what hotel management did for our party but gesture was magnificent Staff all super helpful & friendly A definite return on cards

We are a group of four, friends playing golf. We are Dutch and we had a very pleasant stay at the Knipoch hotel. The rooms are almost new with very good beds and the staff was helpful and very friendly. Our diner and breakfast was lovely, we enjoyed it very much. Great wines too. So far our best hotel experience in the area!

Have often driven past this hotel pre refurbishment (when it was clad in yellow) and wondered what it would be like. Had a very nice two night stay in a loch view room. Overall, a comfortable stay with a very clean room and great views. We seem to have paid about half what the summer rates are showing as which, to be honest, I found quite shocking. We felt it was worth what we paid off season but not what is showing over summer. Why? The breakfast was pretty average (continental with no pasteries, watery lumpy porridge but husband said his fry up was great although for a Scottish breakfast shame to see no tatty scones!). Stephanie on reception was fantastic and real credit to the team, but the other staff did seem slightly flustered at most interactions (perhaps settling in before the busy summer period). We didn’t eat on site as it’s very expensive. Room cleaning seemed to be quite late in the day and not ready on return from exploring. Decor comfy with an extremely comfortable bed (we slept very very well!) but I’d suggest rethinking the pictures in the breakfast room (; these are minor details but for those paying full whack over summer you may want to wish to address. We would return for off season rates.
