After reading the reviews of this hotel we decided to book. We certainly were not disappointed.
We asked the hotel to arrange a pick up from the airport, and from the moment we stepped into that taxi, we knew we had chosen the right destination as he explained all about the area and where to visit. We arrived very late to the hotel but were greeted like we had just stepped back home. We were given a fantastic welcome, then here comes the personal touch, we were given a head written piece of paper with all the restaurants in that area and Chania where they recommend along with things to do. I have travelled the world with my job and stayed in 5 star hotels and never once been given this.
We had asked for a late check out the following Friday. They explained they could upgrade in 2 days and we could keep this room until we checked out the following week.
Both rooms were great, but our upgrade to a front sea view was just fantastic right next to the pool. Our original room was sea view, but it was set back, and I would say it's more of a side view. If you want a full sea view room, then I would advise you to email the hotel and ask what they suggest.
The beach is sandy and the sea stunning. You can see the sun set from the hotel and if you want to see the sun rise you can walk 10 minutes along the beach.
The weather wasn't great for the first few days, but that didn't stop the hotel from having the personal touch. Breakfast just WOW, so many different options, even for a vegetarian like me. The team who work at the restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and drinks, we would like to say a huge thank you. You made our holiday with your kindness and hospitality. This hotel is like no other I've stayed in. The hotel itself is great and a fantastic location with so many restaurants in walking distance, but it's the team who runs and owns this place that makes it what it is. I have never said I would go back to a holiday destination, but that has all changed, and we will certainly be returning. Thank you for making out the 15th wedding anniversary so special.

We’ve fallen head over heels with Vergina Beach hotel and everyone who works there (especially Janis!). First, we were wowed by the impeccably modern room with its own private pool facing the beach, the subtle sound of waves serenading us. Then there was the beach itself, with its perfect silky sand and flawless sunshine. But most of all, as I’ve hinted earlier, the hospitality is what is making us come back next year. Janis, who has been working at Vergina Beach Hotel for 20+ years, goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has an insane experience. For instance, we casually mentioned which restaurant we were going to for dinner, and before we got there 5 minutes later, he’d already called to reserve the best beach-facing table in the restaurant. I’ve never even fathomed such levels of hospitality. We are definitely coming back, and bringing more friends with us!

No doubts about it, this is an incredible hotel! The hotel was built in 2018 so every room looks brand new. The hotel is relatively small, which means you always feel like you're taken care of. :) We stayed in room 20 which is a lovely junior suite with a view of the ocean and a small balcony with the same view. It was absolutely lovely, even though we didn't really use the balcony as we ended up staying at the sun beds all day long! The room also had a small kitchen with a fridge, some glasses and cups etc. and the maids always washed our glasses after we had used them.

Even though the location and the rooms are perfect, the true beauty of this hotel comes in the form of the staff. The staff is service oriented, kind and funny. They're always looking for ways to help you, whether that is carrying your luggage, bringing your drinks or food wherever you're located or helping you call a taxi.

We completely forgot about the check-out time and the staff were incredibly kind and gave us a new room where we could keep our things, change clothes, take a shower etc until we were leaving for the airport.

On arrival we got a welcoming drink each from the kind manager who showed us around the premises and also made all our breakfasts free even though they weren't included when we paid for the hotel. I have no idea why they decided to give us free breakfasts, but it was incredibly kind of them and the breakfasts here are delicious and HUGE. We ended up sharing portions most days because they were just so filling. They've got great choices and you can eat the breakfast with a sweet sea view right next to the beach. The orange juice is freshly pressed right then and there.

I noticed a lot of reviews have mentioned the sun beds costing 3 euros per day, but that was not the case during our stay. All the sun beds were free every day and there was more than enough sun beds for all the guests which means you can relax during the morning, because there's no need to rush for the beds. :)

As you can see, I have nothing but warm words about this hotel and I wouldn't hesitate for a second about going to the same place again. So huge thanks to everyone at Vergina Beach for making our stay at Crete absolutely perfect!

We had a short stay here after staying at another hotel in Crete, we were very pleasantly surprised. The view was absolutely amazing from the room and the staff were all very helpful. The facilities in the room were great and we had everything we needed to make food. One of the best parts was the breakfast for 9 euros, this came with a large amount of food for that price and was definitely worth it. They arranged transport to the airport easily and provided taxi numbers when required.
The location is really good, right on the beach but also near lots of restaurants and directly next to a water sports stand for activities like paddle boarding and jet skiing. The only feedback I would have is the wi fi was not that reliable in certain places and the beds in the rooms were not as comfy as expected. Also the hot tub and sauna were not in operation when we stayed, but this may have been covid related.

Warm and welcoming and family run, Vergina Beach Hotel does not disappoint. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with lovely rooms and wonderful views over Agia Marina Beach. You can relax by the pool or by the beach bar or on the safe sandy beach next to warm blue waters. The food is reasonably priced and delicious and the staff are friendly, efficient and happy to accommodate individual requests. I was so sorry to leave; I think I have left part of me there. Thank you Vergina for giving such gifts.

Great hotel, right on the beach. Fabulous friendly staff. We had a second floor room (Ocean view suite) overlooking the pool and beach - probably the best hotel beach view we’ve ever had. Breakfast in the beach bar was huge (omelette, cereal, fruit, tea/coffee, cake/pastries) and great value at €9.
50+ sun beds and umbrellas on the beach, for a hotel with 18 rooms, so plenty of room.
Sports bar at the front of the hotel, so if you love football and cocktails (great value at €7 - €10)….

Stop searching for somewhere to book and stay here. Absolutely wonderful 4 nights. We booked only a week in advance due to some forced changes in travel plans, hence the short stay (hotel was booked otherwise) and also why we ended up with the last and "smallest" room (which by the way was exceptional!). The hotel backs onto a stretch of beach, which offers fantastic swimming, soft sand and sunbeds (with optional shade, luckily) that are exclusively for guests and free of charge. The pool is amazing and the restaurant overlooks the beach. They serve huge, amazing breakfasts and great lunch and dinner options that you can even order to the sand so as not to break your tanning regime! The local area is a short hop to Chania centre and is plastered with amenities and great eateries, our favourite of which was Rustic Garden. Airport to Hotel transfer was c.38eur for a taxi which is good value since we packed plenty and it is roughly 35min by car. Buses run to the centre for only a couple of euros but you probably won't want to leave the hotel much, and that's coming from people who aren't typically beach bums!
Finally, it might be cliché to say but the staff are utterly exceptional. All of them. They're attentive but not intrusive, they're friendly but not fake, and they're hard working but never too busy. They bring an ethos of "no worries" regardless of your request.
Checking out but want to stay at the beach for the day? No worries. Money left in your room and want to pay for those drinks when you check out? No worries. Request a different breakfast due to dietary needs? No worries! Want to take your beer to the pool? No worries. We were a couple but I'd say this is also a perfect resort to bring kids or come with a couple of friends for a quiet retreat. Overall, it was utterly brilliant. 5 / 5 doesn't even do it justice! Btw, the sunsets are incredible from the beach (see my photo attached!)

Highly recommend Vergina Beach Hotel. My husband and our two teenagers (13 &16) stayed here for 5 nights during our trip to Greece this summer and we were blown away by the location, accommodation, and staff at Vergina Beach.

Our room was a duplex maisonette with an absolutely stunning view. The service and care taken by Giannis, Giannis wife and Angelo was amazing nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotless, we arrived early and they went out of their way to make sure we had access to our room as soon as they could. Breakfast is a feast a with a variety of choices. We often ate lunch onsite too.
The location to the private beach with comfy loungers and beach bar, was perfect. Easy reach of the beautiful town of Chania and also plenty of local shopping & restaurants.
You won't be disappointed.

I was most impressed by the staff, how friendly, attentive and accommodating they all were to every request. From room change to diet requirements. The hotel is also right on the beach so the view from the rooms and breakfast is phenomenal. The whole atmosphere was really relaxing. On top of that, it's very clean.

As a vegan, I was able to adapt dishes and the food was great, they even went out to buy soy milk for my coffee.

If you have one of the rooms close to the road, you'll hear cars at night but the rooms facing the sea are super quiet, good to know if you're a light sleeper like me.

Also note this is a family hotel, so lots of young children around. There are some top restaurants within 5 min walk of the hotel, as the hotel doesn't serve dinner, however you'll need to book a day ahead.

Overall, very impressed and hope to return to this place!

It’s the perfect beachfront hotel, kid friendly, adult friendly, the staff are charming, the food at the in-house restaurant is exceptional. The Vergina hotel in Agia Marina is central to everything. This hotel is an all-in-one place, nice clean rooms with kitchenettes, great views, beautiful beach with chairs, swimming pools, restaurant, and beach activities. You can also request rooms with private pools and/or family rooms, there’s a variety to choose from. For those that want an effortless vacation you won’t need to venture far from the hotel. It’s a very comfortable and accomodating place to stay. For those that like to shop or explore, the city Chania is 8kms, buses are frequent or a taxi is a short ride way. A day trip to additional beautiful beaches such as Falassarna, Balos & Elafonissi are easily arranged daily and pick up is near the hotel, the staff are happy to help. The tourist village Platanias is a short stroll away. And for the hikers, a must do is the Samaria Gorge, pick up is also near the hotel.
I was lucky to have stayed, I found myself without accomodation and at short notice the hotel was happy to help. I am glad I found this hotel by chance; I can now recommend it to my family and friends, it’s a gem.

The road passing in front of the hotel, is not that busy or noisy, since it's a provincial road of the small village of Agia Marina. It's not a highway or heavy trafficked road. Also the largest part of the hotel that faces the road is the cafeteria. Most rooms are located at a higher level, hence there is not actually noise.
