The room was clean and nice maybe a little bit small specially the bathroom. Breakfast was decent and they tried to offer different cakes everyday. You have a car park beyond the hotel. The location is good you can easily reach beaches within +/- 30 min. Point of interest such as cities and nighlife are also not too far from it. For us the best aspect was the staff they were nice people very symphatic and tried to provide the best service they could.
If you find yourself based in Maglie, then this basic 3* hotel is excellent value. It’s clean, cheap and the staff are exceptionally friendly. It’s next to the train station which connects to Lecce and Otranto among others and it's only a short walk from the town centre. Breakfast is nice and served in the brightly coloured reception area. For a couple of nights, you won’t do much better than this.
Tastefully renovated, very clean, with fresh and lively colours and with very friendly, smiling and helpful staff (though their English was rather poor), this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The area where the hotel is located is not that beautiful but it is so close to the center of the town and the whole town is so peaceful and quiet that you simply don't care. Breakfast was simple, with coffee (filter and espresso), orange juice, butter croissant, marmelade, honey, yogurt and fruits, and there was not a refrigerator in the room, but then it was only 45 euro per stay and the coffee was charged only 1 euro!!! Oh and I didn't try the wifi, although if I needed it I would have given a password for free.
This is an old business hotel, a very old one! I would say it 's more a 2 star hotel than 3. The rooms have air conditioning, but no fridge. They are quite clean, but with old furniture and a very old fitted carpet. The people at the reception are nice and the breakfast is a good international one even if it served in a very old and dark restaurant. This hotel is ok if you want to spend just a night and you do not find any other accomodation at the same price level!
Not very pretty on the outside, impressions don't improve much once inside the building. The staff are friendly enough, but the rooms feel oppressive, stuffy and in dire need of renovation. In terms of sleep, you can hear pretty much every word spoken next door, so bring your earplugs. In the bathroom, there was no shower curtain, so I ended up soaking the floor every time I showered. Breakfast is mainly prepackaged; the sickly sweet juice and bitter coffee (both out of a machine) are best avoided. So, if you are in desperate need of a bed for one night, this is fine, but if you can afford to spend a few Euros more, I would look elsewhere.
