Detailed Reviews
Located conveniently close to airport and ferry terminal for early departures; the in-house restaurant (which is really the main act, and recommended) is also a convenience. The shadeless beach across the road is probably not what people come here for – there are much nicer ones in the villages further south.
There are free car parking spaces off the main street in front of the restaurant.
Check-in is actually in the restaurant, as is the access to the rooms (past the toilets…) – the separate entrance signposted as “reception” leads into the restaurant again, either to the dining room (right) or the toilet corridor (left).
Note that payment is in cash only – make sure you have enough on you…
The rooms are on the ground, first and second floor; note there is no lift. If you book the sea-facing rooms, you get to see the sea, albeit across the road; the “side sea view” rooms provide only a glimpse of the sea, but plenty of smells from the restaurant exhaust if you are (like me) on the wrong side...
The interior design of the bedroom is a bit conservative (in red and beige, with dark wood imitation), with the bathroom a bit more modern. There is just enough space to move around, but not more.
The doors are unfortunately not really soundproof – you hear your neighhours as they get to / out of their rooms.
The bathroom is small, but also large enough for one person to move around; in the morning I could only get lukewarm water for my shower.
The WiFi worked well.
The beds are good; only one pillow type is available, and the folding of the sheets is unusual – I had made a mess of sheets and blanket in the morning.
Once the restaurant closes, it is mostly quiet at night, despite the main coastal road in front; unfortunately, the windows cannot be fully darkened with the translucent curtains, so once the sun comes around, the room will be lit.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant from 7.30 am; it offers a good choice at a reasonable quality – better than average, probably due to the restaurant connection.
Overall, good for an overnight stay on the way to somewhere else.

Rooms are very nice and clean, staff are extremely nice, helpful and pristine. Food is one of the best in Dalmacija. Always fresh, with highest value ingredients. Beach is 30m from Villa. Recommended with highest compliments.

+1
This lovely hotel is located in Sukosan, about 20 min drive from the Zadar airport. We arrived to Villa Anton late in the evening and it was our first night in Croatia. We were welcomed by a very lovely lady and were accommodated in the room with a sea view terrace and the most comfortable bed ever! The whole place was absolutely spotless. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There was a great selection of buffet breakfast included in the price for a room.
There is also parking space available and free wifi.
We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend to anyone stopping over in this area.

The hotel was newly renovated when we got there. So everything was in very good condition and also very clean. The hotel is family owned and you can see the effort the owner (son of the former owner) is putting into making his guests happy. Everyone was extremely friendly. We especially liked the breakfast and the food in general. In fact, the food is not only good, but also comes in huge portions. You can basically order one meal for two people. This also might be because the sides were included, but not mentioned on the menu. :)
The hotel is located a bit outside Sukosan, so it is generally very quiet while still within walking distance to the beach (approx. 200m).
Pros:
+ very friendly
+ very clean
+ very new
+ good Restaurant (family owned Konoba)
+ very big portions
Cons:
- Room on the ground floor was a bit loud, you could hear the guests in the entrée
- Service was unorganized in the evening (although they assured me they've been doing this for 40 years)
- The room was not quite finished renovating, so you could see tubes coming from the wall, the tap was wrongly attached (hot/cold water) and there was no place to hang your towels. But I guess they've fixed this by now

This place is absolutely A+ in all standards. Location is beautiful with direct sea view, big balcony on front, close to Zadar (10mins drive). Rooms are very big, bright, spacious and clean. Fridge is standard, just remember to switch it on. Breakfast is very tasty and food from restaurant unbelievably delicious as well. Huge portions! I love this place!

We only stayed one night to catch a connecting flight, however the rooms, service and the scenery were nothing short of amazing! We were left wondering why this is not a popular destination for tourists!?
Very helpful friendly staff, with excellent English. Hepled out with all requests for food, ATMs taxi's etc. Views from balconys were amazing in the morning!

not far from Zadar airport, view was good, but it's over the local road, rooms clean. Excellent restaurant do a few km down the road, (begins with Z) ask the owner, he'll advise. large share balcony, Take it for what it is, a cheapish night, before moving on.
road noise was slight, rooms are tired and very basic, water not quite hot enough, small room, worse thing was uncomfortable mattress (springs), breakfast VERY basic, but fresh

This small hotel is about a mile south of the seaside village of Sukosan, about 10 km south of Zadar. We chose it simply because my wife is Croatian and has family in Sukosan, so we weren't expecting much. In fact, we were delighted - they were tremendously friendly even before they knew she was a native, and indeed before any of us realised that they knew her family! The rooms are basic with only ensuite shower and WC, and you'll probably miss a bath eventually, but everything was very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is also basic (bread, spreads, preserves) but there's as much coffee and juice as you want, cheerfully and efficiently served. Anton and his wife run the hotel with their two sons, and they were all unfailingly pleasant and friendly to everyone. The sea faces the hotel barely fifty yards away, there are bus stops nearby, and cafes and small shops all the way down the road into Sukosan. If you want satellite TV, internet access and a DVD player, you'll be disappointed, but why would you want to come to a beautiful country like this and sit in your room watching a screen?

Accomodation was fine. The rooms are clean. The stuff was very very kind. The food o.k. too. The advantage is that they offer bed and breakfast. One of the best beaches is very close. So the location in the region is probably one of the best ones....

Villa Anton is close to Zadar airport, a 10 minute drive avoiding the crowded roads around Zadar. The hotel and rooms appear freshly renovated and refitted and have balconies, with well functioning new aircons. Good free WiFi. The staff of the family business is attentive and friendly. Breakfast is on a nice terrace outside and is perfectly adequate with plenty of coffee, bread, cheese, fruit, and so on. For the price of around 50 Euro per night this is a very good deal. The only two disadvantages are some noise from the coastal road, and the mosquitoes in the evening.
