Simply amazing hotel, very warm welcome from the lovely and helpful receptionist. Ample parking spaces, nice, modern rooms. Breakfast served on roof top with exceptional views. Breakfast was very good. Nice pool area. Everything spick and span.
Duration - 4 days Location - set on top of a hill with superb views over Aci Castello and Aci Terraza. Shuttle bus is provided to and from both places. Walking down is about 20/25 minutes, the main road is very busy so we didnt attempt to walk back up at night. Last shuttle is 21:20 so we got a taxi back for €20 a later shuttle would be a good suggestion to the hotel. Bus to Catania goes from Aci Terraza but times can be unpredictable and take about 45 mins with no traffic. There are a few local places to eat about 5 minutes from the hotel, main places we ate were Aci Terraza. Aci Terraza and Castello are small villages with local restaurants and local humble people. If you are looking for a busier place then Catania would be a better option. The villagers prefer cash to card and there is only 1 ATM in the village. This area has a rocky beach and 2/3 beach clubs to hire a sun-bed for the day for €12, the sandy beach is Catania. Both beaches are so different and worth a visit! Taormina and Giardini Naxos are worth a day visit and are the “posh” part of the island with designer shops and restaurants etc. I would recommend the Etna and Taormina excursion from the hotel. Its not cheap however for €70 euros each we had Mario who to ourself he is brilliant! Knows his stuff and gives you the best advice. He is flexible with time so its up to you long you spend in both places. We had him from 8-3 and he took us to Etna 2000m, Naxos and Taormina. Unless you have your own car these places are not easy to get to at all. Sicily is a gorgeous place, friendly people and very untouched by tourism. Dont expect to see chain hotels, restaurants and people selling stuff to you! Hotel - very clean and comfortable. The classic double is on the small side but for a 4 day visit was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was standard stuff, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and bacon for hot food and the usual breads, yogurts and fruits etc more than enough to start the day! Pool was lovely and a small bar with bar snacks available. We didn’t use any other facilities. Staff - So friendly and helpful. Rosy and her team we brilliant, one call to the hotel for taxi or advice and they were so happy to help. Overall lovely hotel and great location for a short peaceful break to Sicily! …
We had the unfortunate experience of arriving here just as the country was about to go into lock down as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. When we left the UK there was no foreign office advice not to travel and Italy's problems were all up in the north, hundreds of miles away. We all now know what happened subsequently. Whilst our week's holiday was spoilt, I have to say that the staff at President Park, particularly Rosie the manager, were brilliant. Our emergency flight home was organised and handled by them in a calm professional manner, and I wouldn't hesitate to return here when things return to normal.
This is a wonderful hotel set high on a hillside with a great view of the coastline. The manager and staff are the hotel's greatest asset. Nothing is too much trouble for them. There is a daily shuttle bus into the local nearby towns with pickups in the afternoon for those that choose not to walk back. We stayed at the start of the period of lockdown for the Coronavirus but still had a great holiday.
Nestled in the hills above Aci Teresa this family run hotel offers classic Italian hospitality, Michelin award winning locally sourced dining and breathtaking views of the cyclops islands. Getting about too is made easy due to the courtesy hotel shuttle bus. I would highly recommend if you are in need of some R&R, like history and architecture with some ecology thrown in.
