Loeriebos is situated in the hart of the eThekwini Municipality. The moment you arrive at Loeriebos you will think that you are somewhere in paradise. No traffic, only the sound of nature. We are part of the Palmiet nature reserve and you can sit for hours watching the birds. You can watch the juvenile Crown Eagle looking for something to eat. If you are lucky you will see the mongoose searching for food. The call of the Fish Eagle is of course the highlight. We offer 4 bedrooms, all en-suite. We are looking forward meeting all you wonderful, friendly people.

Magnificent setup. very friendly reception and service. Access nearly scary (steep, zigzag), but very worth it. If I ever have to overnight in the area I will undoubtedly go there again. If you're Afrikaans this is home - "gasvryheid" as we grew up with. Peace and quiet in the kloof including from nature's birds and frogs

Extremely friendly welcome from the owners Sanet and Jannie. Our room was very spacious and lovely decor. Best was the large shower. Very good choices for breakfast and reasonably priced. Ample parking, very central and good security.

My wife and I have stayed at Loeriebos B&B at least 8 times now and I am sorry to say that this is the first time I have put a review on trip advisor for this B&B (or should I call it our other home). We sold our house in Dbn and moved up to Jhb but I travel regularly to Dbn and my wife often accompanies me. We tried a few B&B's but none felt right. Then we found Louriebos...and what a find it was. We will never stay anywhere else when in Dbn as the rooms, the personal service, the food and the extra effort that has gone into the little things are what makes this place stand out head and shoulders about the crowd. We have moved to Scotland now, but still come through to SA regularly, and look forward to revisiting Louriebos B&B once again in the near future.

I spent 8 days with Sanet and Jan and they made me feel very welcome. The B&B is near to some restaurants, a pub and a small mall. The B&B looks out over the Palmiet Nature Reserve and you are surrounded by nature, singing birds and the sound of the river below. I'll be back for my next trip...!!

We have recently spent between my wife and I, 3 weeks at Louriebos with an ill mother. Sanet and Jannie were heaven sent angels, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make everything so homely and comfortable for us and when family and friends arrived they were welcomed like they were extended family . They are unbelievable will not stay anywhere else in Durban. We came as guests and left as family. Thank you could not have done it without you both. Amazing surrounds as well, very calming.

The owners at Loeriebos immediately made me feel at home. It has the most beautiful setting in the greenest "forest" with the sounds of birds chirping and water flowing.
I even got a fresh bacon&egg breakfast sandwich to take-away since I had to catch an early flight.
Highly recommended.

Met the owner Sanet Beukes with a interesting history. Nice and quite and close to restaurants and shops. Also about 15 minutes drive from Durban main Beach. Breakfast great with nice filter coffee. The garden and view of surroundings is spectacular and peaceful.

A fantastic little locations with beautiful views over the Westville nature reserve. Rooms are neat, spacious and clean, I think almost all rooms have a balcony. Pool and outside seating area is fantastic. Had breakfast on the deck overlooking the reserve. Just note that the TV’s are a little old and I didn’t have access to all the DSTV channels, this wasn’t an issue for me as the outside areas are so inviting. Free WiFi is available. Owners are extremely welcoming and friendly. Locations is a 5 minute drive to the N2. Ill defiantly be staying here again.
