Loved the one night we spend there. We had a bit of a problem. No water from the time we checked in at around 5pm until we checked out the next morning. No one came to explain what is going on, we had to go to reception to find out what is the problem. A double bed in the tents will also be nice as it does get a bit cold. But the views do make up for everything that went wrong. Wonderful kitchen setup as well

Very peaceful, close to Simonstown, Kalk Bay and the reserve for day excursions. The gate closes at 6 in the evenings already, which is quite early for those who wanted to have dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area. In summer months the sun only sets around 20:30. However being back early helps you relax. Instant coffee/sugar etc provided daily and the camp boasts a clean communal braai area. Wood can be purchased on site. Smitswinkel is a wonderful experience. We visit almost yearly.
