Nothing really bad about Komati Guesthouse, showers had a problem with HOT and COLD water.
The lady at reception was not unfriendly but everything seemed to be a huge effort and doing us a favour.
Was just not a nice experience, plain and simple.

I stayed over at this guesthouse on 5 February 2017. I made a reservation at very short notice and was well assisted. On arrival at 2100 hrs I was well received and quicly processed (checked-in).

It is really good value for money, rooms are clean and tidy, dstv works.

Good place for a quiet night and nice breakfast and bird observation just before you enter Kruger National Park. Clean rooms. Nice garden with nice pool and beautiful trees with many nice birds to watch.

If you want to feel uncomfortable when you check in , this is the place. If you want to save a R200 (at the expense of a warm friendly welcome ) this is the place. If a friendly receptionist / Owner is what you need ? stay away from this place! I'd rather spend the extra R200 on a room at Stoep Cafe where I had a warm, friendly and sumptuous dinner or at Domba Guest lodge where I normally stay! As a businessman none of my associates will stay here EVER!!!

After the disaster with Kruger View Backpackers we rocked up at Komati Guesthouse asking for a family room. Took them 5 minutes to show us their best room...and there we stayed the next couple of nights.

We booked a twin / double room for one night. Yes, it was a value deal and all the amenities were there as advertised, but it was so cramped, we could barely get our 2 medium suitcases in and still move around the room. This room might be ideal for 2 youngsters who are used to "rough" it in a very confined space, but not for a couple who needs a bit more leg room. In the picture it seems as if there is enough space, but believe me, the key word is cramped. Apart from this the room was clean, the reception was friendly and the beds and bedding were fine. If only we were forewarned about the limited space, we would have requested another room maybe?
