Should keep it secret but that would be a sin to other travellers and the business itself!! "Suzie" was my heroine as administrator and host! She arranged everything with passion & professionalism; letting me feel at home and without worry. Steenbok 1 self-catering accommodation & Stoep Cafe accommodation is in all essence one domestic accommodation under ownership of Elmarie. It provides for all needs and requirements of any traveller or tourist. The accommodation is super clean and neat, and Steenbok 1 provides for calmness next to a running stream and beautiful green indigenous bush flora next to the Crocodile river bordering the Kruger National Park (KNP). Safe parking and more than enough space for a huge family awaits you. It is a hidden gem nestled centrally to Komatipoort business area, Lemombo border post and the KNP Crocodile river gate. A must stay over for more than just one or three days. Absolute mouth-watering meals of good portions to fill a male South African can be arranged at Stoep Cafe with a Sjef that knows how to spoil all your taste buds. If you do not combine the accommodation with the meals you loose out on a splendid opportunity to just relax, be spoiled and have the time of your life to explore everything Komatipoort and the KNP can provide. For business it is just as good because you focus 100% on your business and leave Stoep Cafe to look after the rest so that you can stay fresh and relaxed. This is the best place to explore!

Thank you for a very nice stay!
We enjoyed the few days in Komatipoort and at Stoep @ Steenbok. Your place is spacious and lovely! The rooms and multiple bathrooms are a luxury and thank you for keeping everything so clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the stoep is a treat. We are particularly fond of the wooden furniture. It was also safe for our Yorkies!
Can we recommend that you include a bracket in the open shower for disabled people to hold on to during a shower? That would really be helpful.
Thank you we enjoyed our stay and can really recommend the place to anyone.

The Stoep Cafe is an oasis of tranquillity, and my favourite place in Komati! The staff are always very friendly, and the service is great. The chef delights and surprises with beautifully presented and tasty food, whether breakfast or a good steak dinner. The units are tastefully furnished and contain all you need, and more. The beds are extremely comfy and I always feel refreshed after spending a night here. A very safe location, and extremely highly recommended.

The Stoep Café in Komatipoort is a wonderful place to stay on your travels to the area. The rooms I had was well appointed with every amenity under the sun to make your stay great. Attention to detail was perfect and the entire unit and property was spotlessly clean! All rooms are off-street, so a peaceful stay is what you will get. Safe and secure parking is available. The onsite manager, Suzi was most welcoming and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble for her. Suzi went out of her way to make sure my stay was perfect. Self-catering options are available at Stoep Café, but you should definitely not miss the chance to have a wonderful meal at the Stoep Café restaurant. There is a wide choice of meals available to suit everyone’s taste. I booked in at Stoep Café on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis and am so glad I did. The food is out of this world. The entire staff from the waitrons to housekeeping to management, need to be commended on their friendly and efficient service. I highly recommend Stoep Café for your stay in the Komatipoort area. I will most certainly make use of Stoep Cafe when next in Komatipoort.

After driving for 14hrs from Mozambique there was a power cut as we crossed the border.

On the hottest day of the year so far, we found our room spotless, comfortable and cool.

A generator hummed in the background until the power was restored.

Our suite was as large as a small house and equipped with all the necessities for self catering.

Lots of complimentary teas and coffee too.

We awoke with the dawn bird chorus refreshed and ready for the drive to Johannesburg.

Service was average as we were well informed upon arrival but generators came on only later in the morning. No power & water for some time. Kitchen was noisy as our room was next to it. However, good location and very neat.

Fantastic value as well as phenomenal service. Personal service restaurant on your doorstep. Only 8 minutes from the Crocodilebridge kruger gate. The value is well situated to get early access to the game park and a great overnight stay to go to Mozambique.

Sad to say, 1st we were given a different room than our booking, not that we minded at all, just to find NO water in our room. Suzie did give us a key to another room to shower. Our room was very good and clean, but right next to the kitchen and veranda so noisy till after 9pm. We had supper at Stoep restaurant and it was very good. Will recommend to people skipping Room 5
