Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. Special mention to Sarah, Sifiso and John for their great help and friendliness.

We had a beautiful overnight stay on our way to Maputo at this well managed riverfront hotel. The management team is fully hands on. Our room was upstairs. It was spacious with a big shower. There was no bathtub in the room. For relaxing; there is an outdoor balcony as well. The views of the river are perfect with frequent wildlife bidit to the river all day long

This was my second trip to Bucklers Lodge, the last one being in February 2021 when I stayed for 2 weeks. I stayed in the same chalet this year and it felt like I was home again! Bucklers is a very special place; the scene over the Crocodile river is beautiful and you can bathe in the pool watching the wildlife. The rooms are so clean and have everything you need for self-catering, which is what I chose. However, you can order meals from the menu at any time. The Wi-Fi is excellent even though you are in the bush! I must make special mention of the incredible lovely staff who are so welcoming and friendly. Every morning you will wake up to birds, and often the elephants on the river. I did not have a car but had a couple of drives into the Kruger park (only 10 minutes away) with Jerry who happened to be a bird enthusiast, as I am. What a treat it was to go with someone who knows the birds! I highly recommend Bucklers to anyone wanting to have some peace and quiet. I stayed over 2 weeks and I will come back. Where do I start? This place is an absolute must if visiting the Kruger or just want a relaxing break. We are frequent world wide travellers, the customer service we have received from before arriving to leaving is outstanding, in fact I would go as far as saying the best. All staff very helpful, food excellent, rooms great, views amazing (elephants,hippos & crocs seen from hotel) Miguel and Sarah so very good, exactly what you would wish for. I literally cannot fault this place and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone.
