Buckler’s Africa is situated on the Southern Border of the Kruger National Park just 6 Kms from Crocodile Bridge Gate in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Buckler’s offers luxury self-catering accommodation on the banks of the Crocodile River; overlooking the Kruger National Park. The spectacular wide-open lawns create a feeling of space and tranquility, which is only the beginning of the Buckler’s experience. As you pass through the lodge you look directly over the river and often see spectacular sightings right at your doorstep. All units have stunning, high ceilings and beautiful modern finishes. Each unit comes standard with a fully equipped Kitchenette, spacious en-suite bathroom, aircon, DSTV, patio, private braai facilities and access to the swimming pool. Not to mention the authentic wild acoustics of lion, hippo and hyena for a true African experience.

What a wonderful place for a bit of rest before entering the Kruger National Park. Buckers is located adjacent to the park sharing the crocodile river as a border. The rooms are beautifully done. It's self catering but offers breakfast. It's not far from Komatipoort and other

We asked Buckler's Africa to arrange a game drive for us - which they did - and it was the highlight of our trip. We did self drive as well, but the opportunity to be with a professional guide, on an open game vehicle should not be missed. Buckler's use a brilliant team called Chase'in Africa and they lay on a picnic in the bush, give you all the game info you could ever want - it is awesome. You book and pay through Bucklers though. We had lunch in the Kruger, and self-catered in the evenings at Bucklers but there are a couple of nice restaurants in Komatiepoort. No fine dining - just easy, casual dining. Komatiepoort is about a 10/15 minute drive from the lodge. In terms of airports, you can fly into Johannesburg and drive. It is about a 4 or 5 hour drive. Or you can fly into Nelspruit - but that is much more expensive.
