A small, traditional lodge, 8 km from the Crocodile Bridge Gate into the Kruger Park, 65 km from the Swaziland border and 5 km from the Mozambique border. We have 8 rooms, for 1/2/3 people and a couple of larger family rooms for 4 sharing. All rooms have FREE WiFi, TVs, air con, bar fridge & en suite bathrooms. They are mainly set under thatch, around a pool in tropical gardens. Our rooms are not large but are packed with personality! Breakfast & dinner are available in our small licensed bar & restaurant from a lovely, varied menu of traditional South African & international cuisine. (Please reserve a table in advance). We do NOT have self catering facilities. Komatipoort is a small, quiet, safe town with a couple of restaurants & small shopping centres. We have domestic pets on site - 2 dogs & cats...They are friendly & not at all dangerous! Let us arrange game drives, bushwalks, horse back safaris, golf, fishing &more for you, but please reserve well in advance to avoid disappointment. We can also offer excellent advice for those preferring to self drive.

Detailed Reviews
The beauty of using accommodation outside the park is that there is a selection of shops and restaurants and daily prices are much lower, possibly with breakfast included and the rooms on offer far superior to the park camps. Cost of getting into the park remains exactly the same.
Trees Too is a stand-out. We will be coming back.

Trees Too is one of the nicest guest lodges I have stayed at. From my initial welcome to my departure, I was made to feel most welcome. Sue and her team at Trees Too Guest Lodge go out of their way to make sure that your stay here is comfortable and nothing is to much trouble for them. The breakfasts and dinners are lovely and service is always with a smile. When next in Komatipoort, Trees Too is the place to stay! Thanks to Sue and her team for a lovely stay. Regards, Norman.

We stayed five nights at Trees Too and did three excursions into the Kruger National Park and couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay.
Martyn and Sue have created a welcoming lodge with great character and are a great source of knowledge about the area. In advance of arriving, they had booked a day's Game Drive with Jean, their top recommendation for a guide, and a Sunset Drive. They also gave great advice for our 'self-drive' day.
Excellent breakfasts and evening meals served by friendly attentive staff.
Trees Too has great charm and a well cared for and beautiful environment. We would wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
Thank you.

Stayed only one night, wished it was more.
Sue (the owner) was so sweet and wonderful, made us feel like home.
The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious and at a great price. We needed to leave early and with a great big smile she made sure breakfast was ready even before the usual time.
Definitely would stay there again if at Kroger

This guest lodge is very well located : near the kruger park (crocodile brigde)
Near the center of the town where there is all the facilites (shop, restaurant ...)
The lodge is a very quiet area : we slept very well without noise.
The lodge is very clean with a very nice swimming pool. The owner Sue is so sympatic and the staff too !. It was like we were at home very cosy.
No problem to park our car.
For sure we will be back : every thing was perfect.
Thank you !

Shoe and Martin were truly wonderful. We received our luggage 3 days late and they were at our complete disposal to make us feel at ease. Excellent starting point for the Krugher safari. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom large. Breakfast is served according to the requests made by the guest, both sweet and savory. It is possible to dine in the structure and we recommend that you taste the various dishes that will always be offered to you every evening. Shoe will put you at ease by introducing your origins to the other guests before presenting the dishes of the evening!

This lodge is perfect if you want to go to Kruger Park. Crocodile river gate and its great game viewing spots are very close. Compared to the camps inside the park this is pure luxury. Pool, air-conditioned rooms, great beds, a small bar and the hosts Sue and Martyn. It was a real pleasure being their guests, they helped with everything we wanted and gave hints on where to go in the park. Breakfast and dinner were very good also. Summary: You want to be at Trees Too rather than a Kruger camp.

Excellent service with hands-on staff. Wheelchair accessible unit/room has a very steep ramp as well as at the restaurant which cannot be navigated without help. Fridge in room out of reach to a wheelchair user. Hopefully this will receive attention in future. Overall still a very good choice.

We had a wonderful stay at the Trees Too Guest House. The accommodation was superb and well equipped and pool & surrounding area well maintained. The evening meal was superb and so was breakfast. Sadly we only had one night! Sue & Martin & co were great hosts and we were so grateful of Sue's suggestion of buying the updated Kruger Guide when we entered the reserve. There are illustrations of hundreds of birds and animals in the back which you can tick off as you see them. It certainly added to our safari experience and we came home having noticed so much more than we ordinarily would. Definitely recommend staying at this lovely guest house. Thank you.
