The location is, especially without a car, rather impractical because it's even further than (neuvo ) Arenal which is still peripheral. The atmosphere is very nice though because it's family run and everyone is very friendly. And the cowboy ranch style also adds a nice touch.

We were on a tour with Intrepid so our transportation was always furnished. Sorry, I can not answer any of your questions.

is there no wifi in the rooms, just the public places?
There was WiFi in the rooms. We were told that sometimes you can't get it in the rooms, but we had no problem. We found that WiFi in all the places we visited in Costa Rica was not very reliable - even in the good hotels in the cities. So our experience in El Establo was better than most of the places we stayed.

Where do you serve the breakfast?
"Go to another hotel."
"We were on the 9th level where the view was wonderful. I'm not sure about value because we were on a family adventure trip booked with Intrepid so we got an inclusive price for the entire week."
"Didn't stay but the horse riding was the best"
"We did not stay in the accommodations offered at El Establo, but ate in the open air restaurant and enjoyed the horseback riding."
"Don't go !!!"
