Detailed Reviews
If you want home away from home, come here.
The best fireplace, warms up the whole house, the most comfortable beds. Every room has fresh flowers from the garden. They tell you up front to bring water if needed.
The most hospitable hosts, so friendly. Go out of their way to make your stay the most memorable. I have been going there for 5 years now and absolutely love it!
Their garden is so pretty and peaceful . So many birds. You can walk around and feel the peace
Locked up gates so you feel safe.
Clean and neat.
Good wifi.
They grow their own vegetables as well.
They have a beautiful fog who loves you to throw the ball to him.
Easy location and 20 minutes from Sani hotel. They also recommend places to go to. Close to local shops as well.
Thank you Derryl and Elsa!

We stayed 2 nights at the Yellowood B&B while visiting the Sani Pass. While the room was simple, the bed was comfortable and we had an attached bath and hairdryer (not all places in SA do!). What made our stay special was Darryl and Elsa. They are both so kind and generous. Darryl is an excellent cook and Elsa has a twinkle in her eye and spring in her step. We would love to return just to stay with them.

You will be glad you stayed here. Elsa and Derryl are two lovely ladies and the most gracious hosts you will ever meet. They made you feel right at home. They have a neat dog named Bo. They have the most beautiful flower garden with winding trails through it. They served table sagging meals for dinner and breakfast. We had a huge, nicely decorated room. It was well thought out and had everything you needed.

Derryl and Elsa opened their home and their hearts to us over Christmas and Boxing Day.
This Guesthouse is a home away from home. Delicious food, very comfortable beds, spacious rooms and modern bathrooms. Everything was immaculately clean. We look forward to our next visit to Yellowwood cottage.

We stayed two nights at Yellowwood cottages and it was really great. The hospitality is really unique - much less the delicious breakfast, yummy. We felt like at home with an excellent service, they also arranged a day trip to famous Sani Pass - also top! We would love to come again!

It felt like Christmas in July had such a fantastic weekend. Am going back again with a couple of friends because the owner is such a loving caring person it was like my mom was with me but gave me the space to be a child and an adult at the same time.

This tastefully furnished, well-run and very very welcoming B&B gave us not only the accommodation we wished to find but way more: Derryl's and Elsa's warm hospitality provided us with both good tips & advices for activities in this truly beautiful area and made us feel a home far away from home - in sum one of the peaceful places where it's so hard to say goodbye when leaving!!

Great guesthouse in a very peaceful and nice town. The rooms are good, though nothing really special (nice beds, good shower/bathroom). What makes the place special is the nice garden but even more the very friendly and helpful hosts! The breakfast they make is also recommended!

Thoroughly recommend this quaint B&B. Large 6 foot double bed, great breakfasts and wonderful hosts Elsa & Darryl who were so helpful & ki d. Beautiful garden & setting. It was like going back in time to a Gentler age but with all the excitement of the Sani Pass & beautiful walks on your doorstep. Best trout at the Himeville arms.
