I am Italian, and since I was 4 I have been spending my vacation in Puglia. Thus, I know the Region quite well.. Nonetheless, La Tana was a great find! My partner (from Chile) and I spent a week in the suite Riccio and loved it. The small town is fantastic, the town square reminds me of old Italian movies. Baroque surrounded us.. La Tana is very clean and comfortable; they even had beach towels! so no need to bring them! Further, even though, there were other guests (a group from the north of Italy), we could not hear any noise! The staff - fantastic. Starting with G., the factotum, who I had to call at 3am because the other guests had locked us out, and he arrived with a smile (actually, he laughed!) further, he suggested a couple of great places to eat. One a few minutes away, the pizzeria Lievito Madre, in Poggiardo.Perfect pizza made with hemp dough... Continuing with the cleaning staff...nice and knowledgeable of the area... ending with the Baronale! The cafe where we had breakfast. La Tana partners with the Cafe Baronale where we could have breakfast - espresso e cornetto o pasticciotto (typical local sweet). Baronale is a lovely cafe in the square of this tiny town. The passaparola here is the most important thing.. they referred to La locanda dei Camini in Boturgno - another great find! Finally, the owner, prepared a very helpful booklet mentioning the best beaches to visit, recommending restaurants, etc.. a very useful pocket guide! We loved it! I am ready to go back!

I didn't really want to give a review as I'd like to keep it all to myself! It is an absolute gem. A beautiful b&b in Salento, Puglia, it is perfectly placed for exploring the area. The rooms are gorgeous, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We were recommended the most wonderful restaurants to try and some of the most amazing beaches to visit that we would never have found by ourselves. I can't wait to go back!!

The "La Tana del Riccio" Poggiardo is a beautifully renovated authentic building with several totally different types of room each with its own architectural flair. Enjoyed the rooftop vistas, the high vaulted ceilings and hearty Italian welcome. Not only is the B& B extremely well maintained, but the location ideal within a lively old town with a perfect Piazza, bar and evening entertainment. la Tana del Riccio is the perfect starting point for all ventures around the southern tip of Italy - be it swimming in pristine blue waters, sightseeing or enjoying the multitude of culinary delights. Will come again

The villa was wonderful. The perfect place for friends to stay and congregate together while still having your own space. Well appointed with renovated historic character and super convenient and accessible to get around the Puglia region and experience the food/wine, sea and history the area has to offer.

A week at La Tana del Riccio is like a warm slice of heaven. Set in the untouched village of Vaste by an orange grove, under twinkling fairy lights. Lara and her team let you experience true Italian hospitality with flavour, colour and absolute bliss. Starting the day with locally grown fruit, delicious pastries and espresso. Cruise in the lovebus Kombi to crystal waters of the Adriatic.Lunch gazing over the pristine coastline, delicious seafood and local wine .Follow it up by handbag shopping - design your own and ready next day! Return to Tana feeling hazy, sun touched and ready for your massage. ... ..Haven't seen the last of me Tana Del Riccio
