My family had a great day of mountain biking with Junya. My kids are 10 & 12 so we started off with a lesson and skills check. Then we were off for a fun hill climb and forest ride before hopping on the gondola to the top of the mountain. We stopped for lunch at a cute restaurant at the top and then toured around the summit and took in the view of the surrounding area. Once we started downhill the pace was great for all ages with plenty of stops to regroup and try some tricks on different parts of the mountain. We used Clubman's Rossignol bikes, so it was like a demo ride and they had safety gear for everybody as well. Junya was a great host and guide and we cannot wait to book a ski trip with him this winter!

To Chrissywilltravel Thank you for your polite post. And we are very happy to receive a very good evaluation. The guide I was in charge of this time is not fluent in English, but I think that it was because of the wonderful sports and the wonderful nature of Hachimantai that I was able to communicate with everyone and enjoy the MTB tour safely. The Appi MTB course will be upgraded in the future, so I think that everyone will not get bored even if they come every year. Please enjoy it! We are waiting for you again on our ski tour. In that case, please enjoy the original pork dishes at our lodge. Stay tuned until the day we meet again! !! Best regards

I really enjoyed my 3-day powder trip here in February. The decorations inside the lodge looked warm and cosy; the food they provided were also tasty. We faced some quite terrible weather conditions but the two lodge operators organised everything timely and well so that I still had enough fun with the powder snow.

This is a great, homely warm place oozing with 70s feel and very welcoming hosts. We stayed for 2 nights while in Hachimantai, and Jun and his dad made us feel very much welcome and at home. Has a great ski-lodge feel, but equally great outside ski season. If I ever ski north Japan, I’ll stay with Jun again.

I stayed for 4 nights late January 2020 for a skiing holiday.I found the experience first class and being from Australia both Junya and the Boss made me feel more than welcome.The cat skiing was a fantastic experience set amongst the beautiful backcountry of the local area.I can highly recommend the breakfast and dinner which was excellently prepared from the local produce by Boss.Another highlight was a trip to local natural onsen which was great after a days backcountry skiing.The accommodation was very comfortable and warm and more than adequate.Overall I can highly recommend Lodge Clubman as a place to stay for an authentic Japanese skiing experience
